*Noor Khan formula*
Air Marshal Noor Khan was a spellbinding personality. He was born in 1923, joined Indian Air Force in 1941 and became part of Pakistan Air Force in 1947 and then lived a hero's life. He was called "Man of Steel". He was an Air Chief in the 1965 War but flew the plane himself. Curr used to go to the most sensitive places. His scope of service was not just limited to the Air Force. He was MD of the PIAK from 1959 to 1965, making it one of the top five airlines in the world.
He became the president of the Pakistan Hockey Federation and made Pakistan the World Hockey Champion. He became the head of the Cricket Board and we became the "main player" in the world of cricket. The institution that Noor Khan stepped into in his life became international and other countries. I copied that model later. However, all these achievements were the professional life of Air Marshal Noor Khan. You will find such people in your life but *their real excellence was his personal life. He retired in 1969 and retired. He died 42 years later in 2011 at the age of 88 but he was super fit till his death. * He used to trek on Margala Hills trail three in Islamabad daily and reach the final point in 40 minutes without stopping. I often saw him on the trail. Used to watch on three' they used to cross twenty-year-olds without looking left and right.
We were young compared to them and "super fit" but we young people never could cross them when we reached the finishing point. They would have reached down* *they looked forty at 88* most of us had pain in our knees* we couldn't trek for four days straight but be it a storm or storm they were on time parking at Margalla I used to be and would tie hands behind and start climbing up.
I asked him one day “head don’t your knees hurt” he laughed and replied “I often get told that knees are the answer from climbing and coming down mountains, but I have never had any joint pain” I quoted “this probably Your powerful jeans are amazing" he laughed and said "no never" most of my family died early" I asked them why " Mr. Air Marshall looked at the clock and smiled and said "young man will tell you next time" and fast Started climbing mountains with fast steps.
I felt they were very consistent with the exercise as well as the time. I met them several times after that. Greeted. Also quoted "next time" but they smiled and went ahead. But then one day a miracle happened. He was close to me. Walked by and said "if you're free today we can talk" I replied "sir only time" you ask" he said "I'll be down in 40 mins" we'll chat for half an hour" I greeted and instead of going up and down Walked sideways because I knew I wouldn't be able to get back down in 40 minutes.
I barely made it to the parking lot down' you can believe they came down at 88 years old touching the last point up in 39 minutes. In front of the parking lot of trail three some gentleman had built a club type restaurant at home' we went there' my Had less time and more questions so *I started asking him the secret of fitness* He said *”Health is a complete package of eighteen principles* “Exercise is just one principle of this package”. We won’t give it until we give the other 17 principles as much importance as exercise. Can’t be super fit until it’s time”.
It was new for me' I started listening silently' He said *"Time control is the first rule of health*' Until you control time' you can't be healthy' I've never seen a time control person in my life Haven't seen a person go above 60' I started working with whites at age 18' I learnt time control from them ' Time and timing are the basic principles of flying' Flying made this habit of mine so anything Let it be, I stand by the time.
I was called by President Ayub Khan 'He was four minutes late' I returned without meeting despite being submissive. He himself came to my office the next day. *Second 'I don't smoke and alcohol' *I don't drink tea and coffee too much' in my job time Cigarettes and alcohol were part of military culture 'we used to get a quota' I used to divide my quota among my comrades' All the people who enjoyed my quota died forty years ago while I still climb the mountain daily.
3rd. *I eat to live. *I don't live to eat. *I saw British officers starving at the beginning of my career. *A Buddhist beggar used to come to our base. *He used to starve officers. *The officer would be stabbed after starving. Used to go* 'I started fasting as I saw them' My physical and mental health got much better because of fasting' I learnt from this experience that fasting is also a principle of good health.
I also carry this rule 'I fast all the fasts of Ramadan and I fast two to four every month on normal days' my physical system is in good shape' he stopped and said "*I use salt, sugar, spices and ghee less fried items I don't eat, I eat fish instead of meat and that too grilled *We should eat fish at least three times a week for good health* It keeps us fit" He stopped and said *Trouble, sorrow and grief make a person grow old quickly*
*I always look for solutions to my problems instead of worrying*' Solution came out. So right otherwise *I am patient thinking it is Allah's will” He stopped and smiled and said *I weigh myself every day* I have a weighing machine in the bathroom’ I wake up in the morning and look at the weighing the day I weigh more me next I also fast during the day and I also extend the tracking period. Weight has a deep connection with health. The more you gain weight, the closer you are to your grave. So, *Don't let your weight gain at any cost. Stay fit. *ە*
They stopped and said "I'm very strict when it comes to friends too" *I only make friends with the same-natured people* I avoid 'annoying' indecent 'showy' and unworthy people but the people who become my friends I do meet them everyday. Good to human beings. And the company of like minded people always gives energy 'I also take this energy' I have seen lonely people who have lost their friends die early " He paused and said * If you continue to thank Allah for His blessings, you will remain healthy *
Hope is energy and it's born from gratitude 'you keep thanking Allah' your hope will keep growing *I've seen hopeless and ungrateful people always sick and early to the graveyard* So no matter what happens, let hope and gratitude go hand in hand. Don't let go, you will have a long and healthy life". He paused, took a deep breath and said. *Family also gives you energy. Even if you spend part of your day with children and their children, you will stay young and healthy*". I Puri I've been in my family life' I let family go away and I didn't go away from them so I'm still stuck in the knife' I've also found people sick and helpless who didn't have children or who lived away from children while children I saw the people happy and fit too.
I was listening to his conversation carefully. He said "There are a few other principles of health, e.g. you *If you help others, do charity work, you will be healthy* e.g. listen to the radio at least and watch the least TV. You will be healthy. *e.g. you go to bed early and wake up early. *take at least ninety-ten hours of sleep. *your physical batteries will stay charged. *e. you stay close to nature. *come to the mountain every day like me. *get out into the forests. *walk along lakes and rivers. And walk in the snow.
For example, you sit silently for a few minutes every day, talk to someone and do not listen to anyone. This meditation will also make you healthy. For example, *Increase vegetables and fruits in food. *Eat dry fruits. For example, some goal of your life. There should be no aim ' *people without aim are burden on the earth ' the earth unloads them quickly * and e.g. daily exercise at the end 'run a race' if you can't, then jog ' if you can not do this too, then walk ' you will live a long life'.
He stopped, took his last sip of green tea and said, "Last tip, keep learning things of experience from experienced people. Knowledge also keeps a person active and healthy." He got up, shook hands and left.
He fell ill a few days later, was admitted to hospital and died two days later. He was on Trail Three before going to hospital and completed his final walk.
