Lol, then how would you explain the fact that Chinese EVs sell like hotcakes around the world? doubling the sales every single year.
Is your day job to smear China? Your slander and the facts and numbers in real life reality don't add up.

Do you have a reading comprehension problem?

I'm sure your car will be fine.

How is this a smear????

One thing to be mindful, and this is specific to Chinese electric cars more than other brands of electric cars is the level of integration of the car itself. In the case of Chinese cars, the electrical pack is part of the structural strength of the car whereas in other countries, it is treated as an additional pack that can be removed easily.

What this means is that if you have a bump, the Chinese car may end up costing alot more to repair because of the high level of integration. In the UK for example, insurance rates on Chinese cars are much higher than Tesla cars for this very reason, as they turn out to be more expensive to fix.

Whereas the Tesla will keep several components for the drive train, Chinese integrate them into 1 or 2, and while from an engineering perspective that is saving a lot of money, it means anything that fails, well turns out to be expensive.

There was a good Youtube video that high lighted this, and i just tried to find it on my watch history but i could not since I have my watch history turned off it seems.

Anyway - take a look at repair costs, speak with your insurance company first as they have alot of data on this already. They can tell you which is the cheapest and most expensive EV to "insure" which directly means which are the cheapest to repair and most expensive, etc.
Ah thanks for the heads up bro. Yeah I am not a brand loyalist so i am looking at all the cars and will ask around a bit more as well but you make a good point about the servicing and maintenance and repair costs for sure

China NEV export share in September: BYD leads with 31.1%, Chery rises to second

  • BYD exported 174,277 NEVs in September, down 5.2% from August, with its share falling 4.3 percentage points.
  • Chery's exports rose 25.7% month-on-month, overtaking Geely for second place; Tesla China remained fourth as its share fell to 5.4%.
BYD (HKEX: 1211) continued to lead China's passenger new energy vehicle (NEV) export market in September despite losing share, while Chery (HKEX: 9973) overtook Geely Auto (HKEX: 0175) to take second place.

Legacy automakers risk losing mass market to Chinese rivals

Legacy carmakers will not likely be able to match Chinese rivals on price and may already have missed first-mover advantage on electric and software-developed vehicles, according to a report by Mobility Global’s automotive analysts.

My next car will be an electric, I am ready to make the switch. It wont be a Chinese car at all, my thoughts are Tesla 3 or Kia EV 3 ( which seems to have absolutely solid reliability so far, more than any car out there of any type/brand )

September 2026 car sales in China are out....note it includes ICE cars.

Tesla Model Y is like the iPhone of cars in China...as in its premium price and it is STILL a leader. I think that should tell you something.

Checkout the ridiculous price gap: You could buy like four of the #2 top selling car for the price of the Tesla Model Y. :ROFLMAO:

Even with a price war in China Tesla is still hanging in there.

Based on your own chart, Tesla has just one model made top 10, while BYD has 4.

BYD Maintains a Strong Three-Model Presence

BYD remained the most represented automotive manufacturer in the September top-ten chart when Fangchengbao is counted separately as a sub-brand.

Its three BYD-badged models contributed:

  • BYD Atto 2 (Yuan UP): 22,767 units, ranked fourth.
  • BYD Song Ultra: 17,131 units, ranked seventh.
  • BYD Dolphin: 16,754 units, ranked ninth.

Together, these three models registered 56,652 retail sales, accounting for approximately 22.5% of the combined top-ten volume.

I'm glad you finally recognized China's local car sales market is in a slump...it isn't Tesla sales going down..it's China's whole domestic market going down. So while BYD has 4 models in the top 10 they still have seen a decline worse than Tesla.

yeah well a 12% decline is a lot better than a 30% decline
