China blocking sale of tunnel boring machines to India: Piyush Goyal to German minister

Stupid bastard is literally on a website titled Pakistan defence and claims "Indians don't care"

GTFO here Ranjit...
They really do care bro. Next level. I see these warts boasting and gloating on their vacuum sites slagging us off - yet vegitate on here about not caring.
We allow and want opposing opinions but we will not tolerate bullshit anymore.

In major projects, India primarily uses Chinese TBMs—Chinese brands.

1. CRCHI (China Railway Construction Heavy Industry) — the best-known and largest-volume supplier

- Bangalore Metro: four earth-pressure and slurry shield machines

- Mumbai Coastal Road Tunnel: ultra-large-diameter slurry shield TBM, with an excavation diameter of 12.19 m

2. CREC (China Railway Engineering Equipment Group)

- Delhi Metro, Package CC-27

- Pipalkoti Hydropower Diversion Tunnel (in the Himalayas)

After being banned. India attempted to bypass the Chinese industrial chain. But unfortunately, German brands are also manufactured in China.

Interesting. After China imposed restrictions on exports to India, India is preparing to relax its import restrictions on China.

-- India has eased restrictions on imports of Chinese equipment, allowing selected state‑owned enterprises, including Bharat Heavy Electricals and Steel Authority of India, to procure critical machinery from China. The move follows a government order permitting imports of essential components, including multiple categories of equipment for industrial and energy projects.

That decision predates any Chinese action. I welcome any such ban. No one is irreplaceable in this world. We got into API, rare earth, solar cells,...Supply chain will strengthen with time.

China has gotten a lot of bargaining power out of its near-monopoly over rare earths. Now it’s looking to repeat the trick in a more mundane industry – and perhaps squeeze a key Asian rival.

Beijing’s newest export controls target construction equipment — including tunnel-boring machines, some of the world’s largest and most complex industrial devices. They’re used to build subways or drill roads and railways through mountains. China dominates the global market and India is among its main customers.
