Oo I remember playing this one. You have to command team members individually right? If was like a tactical shooter.

It was both, you are doing first person shooting while commanding a squad. It's like brother in arms but a lot more complicated, and you can use vehicle from jeep to attack heli to fighter jet as well.

Yes I've played this one. I still recall one mission which was hard to clear.
There were clearly assigned teams "alpha, bravo, charlie". I remember getting hit with a rpg while in a vehicle multiple times. It was a bit hard but rewarding when you got the hang of it.

Good old days.

Edit: the game I'm referring to was operation desert storm

Yeah, they don't make games like this anymore. And come to think of it, I would probably enjoy more British Video game than American games.

Games are mostly linear nowadays.

Multiplayer with paid skins is way more profitable than making good old gameplay focused games

Yeah, most game these days are live service. Gone is the day you make a game with killer storyline and immersion so strong that you are willing to wait 10 years for the next game. But then here we are with GTA.

Another British game I like a lot is of course Tomb Raider.......

Sadly rockstar is the exception not the norm. Read dead and GTA games are solid.
Sadly such games take too long and a lot of money to make.
Publishers prefer rehasing and making live service stuff more profitable.

Yeah, I would say, in terms of Video Game, the only people who can complete with the Brits are the Swede.

I mean look at their catalogue. You have World in Conflict (another classic), you have minecraft, you have Valhiem, and then you have Helldiver 2.

Witcher are okay, not so bad, but I still remember Cyberpunk when it was released. Yeah, this is an okay game now, but they do drop the ball hard.........

Cyberpunk at launch was terrible with patches and extra content it's great now.
Witcher 3 is personally among my favourites.
