I said technically China is a landlocked country...... you and Russia both have big coast lines but geography prohibited you from being able to use it to fullest potential..... look at your and Russia maps.... Russia almost at all vital openings is chocked by NATO in west and Baltic and east by again USA and allies..... northern sea is useless that is frozen most of the year..... why Russia craves for warm water access?

In your case you are just a poor single ocean country with only 1 coast line in your eastern part and geography is not happy on you that it brought an army of islands in front of you controlled by superior enemy forces and that limits your moments in war time.....

You are like an Iraq who had access to sea but was very blockade prone.....

Your ocean access is good for fishing near coastal waters though.....

Technically every country is a landlocked country without a powerful navy. realistically China is the world biggest maritime nation today.

Nope we are not landlocked.... don't just look at the fire power of navy look at geography and geopolitics....

Geography has restricted you behind 3 island chain and those are under powerful western navies and allies.... this geography deprives you of large open water body and with lots of obstacles in case of hostility..... your are further bogged down with Indonesia Vietnam Malaysia Philippines and then next come again USN IOR fleet along with India as a bonus.....

Look at India or USA maps..... access to 2-3 oceans with large open water bodies with 1000s of islands under our control in our backyard not like you whose islands are mostly controlled by enemies in your own backyard and yes we have loads of allies too..... so our obstacles are not as high as you..... technically you are a landlocked helpless country during full scale war and this your weakness will be utilized to its fullest...... why invest billions in cpec and other projects when you are largest maritime power to begin with.....

Even without a war, India is like a landlocked country, no Indian ports are in top 25 world's biggest ports, while 7 out of top 10 world's biggest ports are in Chinia. This is a reality "landlocked" vs " fantasy landlocked".

I'm only talking about war time situation where you are vulnerable...... nobody can stop anyone shipping lines during peace time as it's a crime...... this is the reason I said you are technically a landlocked nation during war times..... you are blockade prone and learn to accept this fact.....
