The 2024 Paralympics wrapped up on Sunday.

Sept. 8 2024

The Paralympics have officially concluded and the medal count is in.

Over the past two weeks in Paris, the world's best athletes came together and battled for glory in the 2024 Paralympics -- and one nation stood out above the rest.

China dominated the medal count with a staggering 95 golds and 222 total medals. Great Britain was second in both golds (49) and total medals (125), with Team USA coming home third in both categories (36 golds, 105 total medals).

The majority of China's medal came in para track and field and para swimming, where both men and women stood out. China won 21 golds and 59 total medals in track and field, plus 22 golds and 54 total medals in swimming. If you combined the golds from just those two sports, China would be second only to Great Britain.

Team USA also shined on the track and in the pool. The Americans had 10 golds in each sport, with 38 total medals for para track and field and 30 total medals for para swimming. Team USA's other gold medals came from para equestrian (5), para cycling (4), para triathlon (3), para archery (2), wheelchair basketball (1) and sitting volleyball (1).

Here's a full look at the top 15 nations in the medal table, per NBCOlympics.com:

This shows the hypocrisy of the LGBT and other movements of Americans who don't value marginalized groups, including people with disabilities.

Helping LGBTs is more important than helping the disabled

China won almost twice as many medals as second placed Great Britain. Check out the full medal table here.

The 2024 Paris Paralympics are over and - for the sixth consecutive time - China finished top of the gold medal table, a sporting feat which began in 2004 in Athens.

The team broke 29 world records, succeeding in several disciplines including swimming, athletics and table tennis.

Great Britain ranked second with 49 gold medals - 45 short of the leaders.

The star of the final day, however, was Morocco’s female runner Fatima Ezzahra El Idrissi, who broke the women's marathon world record by finishing in 2 hours, 48 minutes and 36 seconds.

The Paris Paralympics set the record for the highest number of delegations (169) and sold 2.4 million tickets out of an available 2.5. Around 4,400 athletes participated.

The event also saw the first historical medal won by the Paralympic Refugee Team, thanks to Afghanistan-born Zakia Khudaddu, who finished third in the women's taekwondo 47kg category.

Ukraine almost levelled its Tokyo 2020 table placement despite hundreds of sports facilities destroyed or damaged in the war.

The Games were looking to leave not just a sporting legacy but also set out an example in terms of inclusivity for people with disabilities.

The city underwent a considerable restoration plan to accelerate its accessibility development.
