China's C919 has obtained airworthiness certificates from many countries and is challenging the market monopoly of Boeing and Airbus

Lol, Boeing is pretty much ruined now, you dare to take on board Boeing ?
Boeing is more reliable then your ARJ-21 and C-919, has only an issue on 737 software and have some minor problem with Dreamliner production, rest Boeing airliner like 757/767 and 777 doing fine throughout the globe

Good luck taking 737.

It's just the beginning, the decline of US industrial power has started to bite into many sectors, infras, machines, shipbuilding and will be in aviation sector too, the sign has already shown.

Why don't you leave canda and move back to China then?
Why don't you go live in another planet ? Who do you think you Indian is ? Like you Indians recently protested in Canadian streets telling the whites to go back to Europe and Canada belongs to Indians, lol.

what you're trying to prove? in airliner in service/lifetime anything can happened in sometime its flaws in manufacturing, sometime pilot error, sabotage, wether related incident etc etc, except 737 all goes normally for rest of the Boeing product

I'm an Indian living in Inida. Not a chinese living in the west constantly bitching about the west and declaring China glorious.

When does COMAC expect to get the C-919 certified by the FAA? If the Europe certifies it this year, that just make it a matter of time, showing its performance through its regular flights to Europe, or are there certain additional benchmarks that will need to be cleared (technical and/or political)?

So, typical Indian too eager to defend your masters more than themselves. Look, whatever I say my opinion on the forum is none of you Indian's business, so just get lost from trying to dictate me.

may be your civil airliner will have success in African/South American markets but you have to make trust/goodwill of customers first, and its decades
not really, boing lost their credibility and trust, there is empty seat on global market along airbus.

After the C-919, when does China expect the C-929 to take its first flight, and how long until that is certified as well?

Once certified, this commercial business will probably lower the cost of China offering all manner of variants of these planes; VIP transports to heads of states, military variants (MPA, Awacs, and refueling tankers for nations around the world), and logistical aircraft for Chinese business looking to move all kinds of air freight; vertical integration, and outcompeting their competitors, especially in the developing world; air freight boosting the prospects of BRI projects.

If Baluchistan and Gwadar can be made safe, the C-919 (once certified to go to Europe) could make Gwadar a hub for a Chinese airline to do business in direct competition with the Gulf carriers. The C-929 could then expand this to go to destinations throughout the Eastern hemisphere.
