Well, I would say it's always going to be like this, Corpo greed make stupid decision, when your business was ran by a bunch of accountant who only care about number, this will happen. And this is the theme of all business post 2000, not just in aviation.

But then I will say, Boeing story is especially tragic since their best-selling aircraft is actually from the 1990s, which is the Boeing 737NG. The issue, however, is that none of the people in Boeing know what's aviation anymore. And those who do, have to listen to those who don't.
