China’s naval supremacy: A new reality for the U.S.

What are u on about. China was fighting with no air superiority basically with aks and some grenades barely any artillery support in the Korean war. Don't come here and make all excuses about why American led forces were less equipped and shit. When u are fighting with overwhelming advantage and still got pushed all the down to 38th parallel and even got Seoul taken at one point lol china was fighting the imperial Japan for 8 years while the UK and French lost all their empires in southeast Asia. Without china tying down majority of Japanese forces and helping the fight in Myanmar and even let American airforce stationed in Western China. The war in Pacific would not have been won easily.

The Americans barely did any fight it was mostly done by Soviets. 2/3 of German forces were in the eastern front. America basically entered the war late and took all the credits lmao. There's one thing to keep in mind don't ever fight a land war in Asia. Just remember that. China is way more equipped now unlike back then where majority of china manufacturing power lied in Manchuria which was the reason why the japanese were able to make some successful advances in the early years of the war. Chinese industries have come a long way. In a war of attrition I doubt the US can win lol. There's also massive resource nation up north which can supply fuels that China needs in wartime.

If you think that China could do better than keep in mind that the US-led forces witnessed in Korean War were less developed and equipped than in World War 2.
LOl, what equippments do you think Chinese army got? they didn't even have helmets, and food and ammo were strictly rationed per person, per day. They didn't have air cover so they had to fight only at night. If then Chinese army were even as half equipped as their American rivals, no Americans could have left Korea alive.

That might be correct but when the war broke out, China took its chances and pushed all the way to Seoul but faced heavy resistance in South Korea and China-led forces were pushed back to the 38th parallel.
As I mentioned many times, you just always fail to see what China really wants, throughout the history the last thing China wants to see is an united Korea, Mao, as an extreme Chinese nationalist clearly got the same feeling.

All conflicts south of the 38th parallel by Chinese side were at best half hearted gesture, which was shown to Kim and Moscow some so called solidarity cause they kept pressuring China to continue to attack, China needed to find an excuse to pull back cause further operation was not in China's long term national interests. When you look at Korean war, you have to know the overall background and geopolitics, it's not only about fighting.

China achieved its goal and ensured its bottomline, it's the best result for China, what's more there for China to fight on? China would neither have Korean lands for its own nor economic gains, only fools would shed blood for a foreign state after their own goal and interest being achieved.

I am not saying that Chinese forces were perfect but they were battle hardened and showed a decent understanding of war and tactics. Chinese troops were not alone in battles either but North Korea continued to reinforce Chinese forces in the war. And Soviet Union was providing air cover to communist forces.

North Korea had created a very capable army in the 1940s with tanks, trucks, artillery, and even jet fighters obtained from Soviet Union. North Korean forces were also trained to Soviet standards on the whole. North Korea would have annexed South Korea in war if the US had not intervened.

So it all checks out.

They forgot that all scenarios change with absolute power, so called allies are never forever, once you become a dominant power, all others suddenly will request to become your allies. Once China outmatch US in absolute power, allies and overseas bases will spring up all over the world. Britain use to have bases and colonies all over the world, but its naval dominance was gone quickly with the decline of its industrial and manufacturing capability, now British navy is just a joke.
Dude, it's white skin vs yellow skin, not some absolute power..

Even in case of absolute power, China is not suppressing USA in the next few decades

China is also very happy that North Korea didn't, and China also doesn't allow hostile troops of either side to reach the Chinese border. This is always China's bottomline being stated many times to all warring sides before China decided to fully engage in the war.

Let's hope that there is not another Korean War. These are beautiful countries. There was a close call in 2017 but the crisis was averted.

China doesn't care much about Koreans fighting among themselves, they always did throughout their history, but China won't allow non Korean foreign troops to directly involve themselves in Korea, before China helped North Korea beat Americans, China also helped Korea beat the Japanese several times in the past 600 years.

I recall a publication that provides a detailed account of Sino - Korean relationship, I will share it with you when I re-find it. It is very informative read.

Has Pakistan acquiesced and is going to grant a naval base to China in Gwadar? Hasn’t India already given the USN the ability to use its naval bases? Will Pakistan limit what the PLAN can do Gwadar, similar to the joint logistics agreement between the US and India?
