Best one ever!Wow! I hope this latest image of the J-36 is legit but usually @琴石2022 on Weibo is quite credible!

Both looking awesome but I'm going with J50 it's more sleeker and unorthodox design compared to J36
No tell me which jet has lambda wing configuration? J-36 is having more conventional delta wing design? So tell me which one is a unorthodox design J-36 or J50?J-50 is more conventional. J-50 is the modern day P-40 Warhawk. J-36 is more innovative. J-36 is the modern day P-39 Airacobra.

No unusual we had have experimental jets from that have had air intake on behind the canopy, but do you see any production jet that had have lambda wing configuration in past?J-36 has three engines with the third intake behind the canopy. This is reminiscent of P-39's innovative design which has engine behind the canopy.

May be J36 is more advanced then J50 in terms of avionics/AESA and flight control software to compensate 3rd engine but J50 is more unorthodox than J36 and its flight control software is also unique to compensate drop down wings to have a better maneuverability/agility and low speed handling compare to J36
Tempest design is gone, they are working with Japanese and Italian companies to built GCAP which have delta wingsJ-36 is more unusual in design than J-50. J-50 is more like Tempest sans the tails.
