Chinese LHD / LAH Carriers - Type 075 & 076 and the future

Well, that was the conclusion when the thread was started and not much was known about the Type 076 ... today, several months later we know surely more, but surely not enough to know what exactly it is; A full aircraft carrier it is not in the same way it is not really a "normal" LHD/LAH ... so maybe we should wait a bit more?

Or what is your conclusion and is your conclusion a commonly accepted one?

LHA/LHD, these are the US Army definitions. Due to the US military supremacy after WWII, many weapon systems are being defined by the US military.

We found that the PLA, in learning from the U.S. military, does not exactly replicate the U.S. military's definition of weapon systems. For the military technology of the U.S. military, the PLA is learning and copying almost all of it, but the PLA has its own ideas on how to use this military technology.

For example: the U.S. Army uses tri-hulled warships for Littoral Combat Ships, and the PLA uses tri-hulled warships for rescue ships. On the Army board. The U.S. Army likes the A-10/AC130, China could but doesn't make a similar weapon system, and the PLA has chosen to vigorously develop rocket artillery systems.

So it doesn't really matter what warship the 076 belongs to. We just need to know what it can do. For the same reason that China refers to the 055 as a destroyer and the US as a cruiser.

Will the Type 076’s primary propulsion be Gas turbines or Diesel engines? Can we tell now that the island is being installed.

Gas turbines are more compact and could offer fuel savings, both freeing up space on the ship.

According to the bidding contract of the XX6 project, it seems to be a 21MW gas turbine.
Considering that the bidding contract also includes the electromagnetic catapult system and hangar facilities, the only project that meets the contract conditions should be 076

The title states that 076 belongs to LHA/LHD. This is the opinion of the topic initiator, which does not mean it is the actual conclusion。

It wasn't a "US Army" designation........It's the literal meaning of the word. and the literal function brought about the name. I mean a destroyer is not called a destroyer because the US Navy use it to fight off air threat, it was called a destroyer because it provide screening for the main fleet, the primary threat screener, the name "Destroyer" was given by the British Admiralty when the then "Torpedo Boat" been able to screen off big ship from afar, thus the name "Destroyer". That's the same as any ship in war before or after the age of propeller. Not just the US call it Men-O-War, Frigate, Sloop, Ironclad, Cruiser, Chaser and so on.

On the other hand, LHA and LHD both refer to the function of the ship because both have the word "Landing" (登陸)in it, LHD - Landing Helicopter Dock and LHA - Landing Helicopter Assault both type of ship is for beach assault, one with well deck (hence LCAC), the other without. If a ship is not used in beach landing directly. then it would not be a LHA or LHD, it would just be some ordr ship according to their classification

I estimate that there are 4 units with a total power of more than 80 MW, which enables the 076 to keep up with the formation of regular aircraft carriers at a speed of more than 25 knots, which is similar to the Queen Elizabeth, which also uses a double bridge. This is also one of the reasons why I think the 076 is not an LHA like the USS America with a speed of about 20 knots.

This is a typical “machine translation” problem.
I don't speak English, and I've stated this in many places in the PDF. Now. I used the personal signature function with the help of @Mr X to declare this problem.
When I use the Chinese term “美军”, the machine translation sometimes uses the “U.S. military” and sometimes the “U.S. Army”.
Similar problems arise frequently in my statements. I can't change that. You can choose to ignore these problems or ignore my statements.

With this much power it is nearly the same power as the latest Indian Carrier, INS Vikrant. The Vikrant cost $3.1 Billion to make, and took nearly 14 years from keel laying to commissioning. What do you figure the Type 076 cost to make and what was the keel laying date?
