Satellite images have shown that more than 60% of the 136 facilities associated with Chinaʼs missile forces are under construction or upgrade, with new towers, bunkers and mounds appearing, indicating weapons development.
In Beijing, one of the factories, which has expanded by almost 50%, produces the DF-26 ballistic missile, known as the “Guam Killer” — it can change trajectory during flight and reach the American Andersen base on the island of Guam.
According to June data from the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), China is building up its nuclear arsenal faster than any other country. The PRC has been adding about 100 new warheads annually since 2023, although the total number of missiles is still behind the United States and Russia.
CNNʼs findings indicate that the expansion has particularly accelerated since the start of Russiaʼs full-scale invasion of Ukraine, which is considered a turning point in global security.
Experts told the publication that the new missiles could potentially deter Washington from providing aid to Taiwan if China tries to seize the island nation.
Former NATO arms control director William Alberke called this the beginning of a new arms race, CNN writes.
The US Air Force on November 5 conducted a test launch of an unarmed Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.

Hey, there seems to be some misunderstanding here.
1. This company's research focus is on manned hypersonic aircraft. Although many of the technologies involved overlap with hypersonic missile technology, there are fundamentally many differences. This falls under the realm of civilian aerospace technology, not missile technology.
2. This company is a mixed-ownership enterprise. It is neither a state-owned enterprise nor a purely private enterprise. Its official website lists almost all of China's state-owned institutions in related fields as partners. This is not something that an ordinary private enterprise can accomplish.

I take back what I said before. I completely underestimated its "power."
As more information is revealed, the YKJ-1000 is indeed a groundbreaking missile.
The missile is largely manufactured using civilian technology and civilian-grade materials. According to expert analysis, the cost of a single missile is approximately 700,000 RMB. The company did not directly respond, but stated that its manufacturing cost is extremely low, about 1/10 of that of a military-grade missile (roughly 1 million RMB). In any case, the manufacturing cost of a single missile is slightly over $100,000.
For comparison:
The standard ammunition for the PHL-03 MLRS costs approximately 750,000 to 1,000,000 RMB per round, while the price of special, high-performance ammunition is around 1,500,000 RMB per round.
Furthermore, this missile does not require a dedicated military-grade TEL launch vehicle, but instead uses standard civilian shipping containers and ordinary trucks......
