Xinjiang Taklamakan Desert town Hotan soon will have its own large university in 2024​

Construction is almost finished.

Hotan has several university campus but they are all branch affiliated schools of the universities based on big cities. in 2024 it will have its own full scale comprehensive university of its own. The Hotan University.

First batch of the students of The Hotan University will be recruited in September 2024.

Foreign media will soon claim that "based on the satelite images", a new large scale " concentration camp" emerges in the middle of Xinjiang's vast Taklamakan Desert.

Old photo o Hotan from a decade ago, when the Taklamakan Desert almost completely engulfed Hotan.

Since then multiple anti desert encroachment measures haven been taken to fight back the desert. With the help of huge desert management investment and availability of high tech solutions, Now the desert is fast receding every passing year.
