Pakistan, UAE conclude joint counterterrorism exercise ‘Jalmood-I’ in Tarbela

Pakistan Army and the UAE Presidential Guards have successfully concluded a two-week joint counterterrorism exercise titled Jalmood-I at Tarbela, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.
The exercise, which focused on hostage rescue and counterterrorism operations, involved participation from the Pakistan Army’s Special Services Group (SSG) and the UAE Presidential Guards.
According to ISPR, the Jalmood-I exercise was designed to enhance interoperability, coordination, and joint operational skills between the two forces in complex counterterrorism environments.
The closing ceremony was attended by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of SSG, who served as the chief guest, along with senior UAE military officials and diplomats.
ISPR said the exercise reflected the deepening defence collaboration between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates, reaffirming their shared commitment to regional security and counterterrorism efforts.

King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, accompanied by Princess Salma bint Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein and a delegation of Jordanian civil and military officials visited Global Industrial and Defence Solutions (GIDS) , in Rawalpindi on Sunday.
Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir along with other senior officials, received the royal guests at the venue, said a statement release by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
