What makes some nations end up being run by their military?
Here are some examples:
Myanmar
Mali
Burkina Faso
Niger
Sudan
Guinea-Bissau
Madagascar
Guinea
Chad

I did a quick search. This appears to be a commonly African issue as well. Egypt I would also say is under military rule. I would also add Ukraine to the list.
Still what makes a country prone to military control rather than a civilian controlled environment. Is it a fight for resources from foreign governments?
Why can’t they resist foreign pressures or are the people in the countries too uneducated to understand?
