On May 29, 2025, the Bailey Truss Arch Frame at Looter in the Dasu KKH-02 project was successfully closed with precision, marking a major milestone. The 113-meter-long upper-deck concrete box-arch bridge, with a 70-meter main span, shifted from cantilever casting to Bailey arch support, cutting costs and reducing technical risks.

The KKH-02 section, part of the vital Karakoram Highway, stretches 31.468 km and is being built to Class II standards. Once complete, it will further strengthen China-Pakistan connectivity and regional growth.

The team now moves ahead with reinforced safety and technical measures to ensure high-quality construction of the arch ring concrete.
