Wow so Marker is claiming that contrary to my generous estimate of 15 Mirage 2000s in the current EAF inventory is incorrect and he's saying it's actually only 9! That's much lower than many claim are still active from the original 20. But it makes sense as they're 40+/- years old and most certainly have suffered attrition accordingly.

And it's interesting how he actually refutes the notion that the remaining 39 UAE Mirage 2000-9s will come to the EAF. And most likely they'll end up back with France for its original plan to donate them to Ukraine. Sheesh, gotta keep the pressure on Russia till the last Ukrainian!

He also seems to think there's no reliable source to the Eurofighter Typhoons coming to Egypt aside from Leonardo (which is actually a very reputable & reliable source) but nothing from the consortium participants themselves, i.e. the Italian government or the German or UK or Spain. Interesting stuff.

Honestly I stopped watching him. He is a metabelati which is something I hate.

He is? lol, I never knew that. But then again, I don't really pay much attention to many of these guys because it's really a YouTube disease. Once they make a 1st video and all the sheep start commenting on their page and admiring them and stroking them, they become addicted to the attention and to making these videos then it gets out of control. Plus I would much rather hear from those in the know-how or those who are connected with the brass and in the field or true journalist with credible sources. Now Marker has some kind of connection as he said so himself, but still, not sure where his sources are from and anyone can claim anything on the internet.

But, out of all the goofballs that put up these YT videos, I must say he is the better of the lot. His demeanor and most of the info he brings can actually be corroborated with other credible sources (except the one time he claimed he saw the Su-35s in hangars at Cairo West airport I think it was LOL). That was when he lost me TBH.

He really is a metabelati. He is like Ahmed Moussa, saying Egypt is the best country etc.. (economically, politecally etc...). They are just propagandist. They spread their propagandas

Interesting that this blk 52D was carrying a Sniper-XR pod during this recent air-refueling exercise (Agile Phoenix) with the USAF. Nice angle though.

Block 52C, part of the "Aggressors & Weapons School" squadron. Distinguished by the absence of any orange markings.

One of the 2-seat block 40 F-16D, not to be confused with the much older B models. Some serious wear & tear on the orange paint at the refueling inlet.

These are the F-16B block 15 #9203, #9201 & #9207 upgraded to block 40. Truly remarkable the impeccable condition that these are in considering their age and the number of flying hours on them. You can tell the models by the serial numbers. The lower 9000 numbers indicate the older birds and obviously the 2-seater makes them the rare B models since typically the 2 seaters are designated as D models.

Well he is claiming ..but there are also the news that the UAE refused to sell its M2K-9 if they are going to Ukraine.. The UAE has very good relations with Russia and not bad relations with Ukraine.. it just wants to stay neutral..

And as for Egypt, let's try to list some simplified details without delving into the technical complications.

Is Egypt obtaining a number of the Emarati M2K-9 appropriate for Egypt or not?

- The political aspect:
By transferring 39 fighters to Egypt, neither France nor the Emirates will oppose it due to the intertwining of interests, which will provide flexibility and political ease between the three parties.

- The financial aspect:
It is the most important aspect of this deal, especially for Egypt, as it is not known in the event of approval what the price of the fighter will be compared to the price of a new fighter of the same class, and whether it will be compatible with Egypt or not.... it is free!

- Technical and weapons part:
Here the Emirati version has many features, as it has reached the Dash 9 standard, which no other version has reached.. It has advanced radar and advanced electronics.

- Armament:
It has the ability to carry Mica-IR/ER missiles, Hummer bombs, the Black Shaheen (Scalp) cruise missile, and others, which is not available in the current Egyptian version.

These fighters can replace the outdated F16 and the undeveloped Egyptian Mirage-2000 squadron.

- 39 fighters of the best versions in the world will represent the quantitative side alongside the Rafale and will represent the French part of the air force, as the Mirage will operate under the Rafale in complete harmony and with the same armament, and this will result in high combat performance.

- These fighters will work brilliantly alongside the wonderful Mig-29M/M2 in air defense, and the Mirage has what qualifies it for that.

- Technical and operational part:

1- Here it must be noted that there is no shame in owning used fighters, and EAF has the Il-76 and the Mi-24 as the best examples, as long as their technical condition allow for a sustainable operational life.

2- The Gulf countries are known for their lesser use of their equipment, unlike air forces such as Egypt and Greece, which are known for their heavy use of equipment.

3- As for the technical condition of the fighters, they are excellent and even better than the Egyptian Mirage-2000 and the F16.

4- Egypt has an excellent technical and logistical base and will not face problems in adding more spare parts from France or what the UAE itself has.

5- In addition to that, the combat experience of Egyptian pilots on this type;
There is a state of connection between the Egyptian Air Force and two types of fighters over time: (MIG-Mirage)

6- The Egyptian version is still working to date with excellent efficiency and technical validity, and it was the one that entered service before the UAE's version.

7- Till a recent period, Egypt was operating the Mig-21 and Mirage-5, and this is the best evidence of Egypt’s ability to sustain these old types, and had it not been for their technical and armament obsolescence, they would still be operating until now.

- Egypt can go a little further and get the Qatari Mirage-2000/5 squadron too..

- Here we will find approximately 50 advanced generation 4+ fighters in more than excellent condition..

- 50 fighter jets, ready, turnkey

- It is not exaggerated to say that getting the Mirage-2000 5/9 is better for Egypt than contracting for a fighter such as the Tejas..(Apart from technology transfer).

- The acquisition of the Emirati and Qatari Mirages is a more than an excellent opportunity to replace the MIG-21 and Mirage 5 that went out of service.

- An excellent solution to the tensions that the region is going through, as it will enhance Egyptian combat capabilities.

- An excellent solution until the foggy situation in the Air Force development plans becomes clear and the deals of the Su-35, Typhoon, and F15 become clearer.

This boy always has unreliable military news, most of which have not been proven true. Firstly, he aspires to be like the failed Ahmed Musa.

Nati, does Egypt really need MIRAGE-2000/9 planes? Indeed, the Egyptian Air Force has shrunk a lot.
Egypt received 500 MIG-21 aircraft from the Soviet Union, 150 F-7 aircraft from China, 90 F-6 aircraft from China, 43 F-4 aircraft from America, and 118 aircraft from France, the Congo and the Emirates. MIRAGE-5
Mirage+2000+Upgrade+Prototype31312.jpg
In exchange for these huge numbers, Egypt replaced most of them with 240 F-16 aircraft and 20-40 Mirage-2000 aircraft.
Even if Egypt obtained 100 Mig-29M/35 aircraft, it would not compensate for this huge amount of fighters that came out with 54 Rafale aircraft simply for reasons related to the fact that Egypt stopped its aircraft industry as a result of a connection of interests between customers, sellers and agents for arms deals.

So, can Egypt obtain 30 Mirage-2000/9 aircraft? It is possible, given that Egypt has a shortage in the number of fighters. Egypt has 40 air bases, and there are also advantages to the old Mirage-2000 aircraft.
Replace older versions
Developing it with an AESA radar, whether Italian or Indian, or even as part of a deal to assemble Rafale aircraft, if they were actually assembled.
The Mirage 5 aircraft uses Russian, American and Indian ammunition. For France, it is an old aircraft with limited technical restrictions.

The value of the plane is only financially. When Qatar tried to sell the Mirage 2000-5 at a high price, the various countries refused, so the cost of the plane will be limited.

The F-16 & MIrage-2000 aircraft will be converted into UCAV aircraft. America aims to convert 1,000 F-16 aircraft into UCAV aircraft.
Egypt cannot purchase large numbers of FA-50 aircraft due to America’s restrictions on engines and the same applies to LCA.

The Chinese failed to export fighters to Egypt for a simple reason. The Egyptians want fighters with good specifications. The Chinese consider that only the specifications that Egypt requests from China are available to the Chinese Air Force. Egypt rejected Chinese fighters because they did not meet Egyptian technical requirements.

The Russian side has regained its ability to export fighters and compensated for its losses. Rather, it is expanding the production of fighters such as the MIG-35, and it has solutions that it has presented since 2022, as it does not export weapons to India, Egypt, and cable customers, but rather exports weapon components. Therefore, no country can detect Russian arms exports to different countries, and the payment solutions are very easy, as Coins are transported via transport aircraft

Therefore, Egypt not only needs the Mirage 2000 aircraft, but also discussed purchasing JH-7A aircraft produced by China, which was stopped in 2016, to be used as CAS aircraft.

The Egyptian Air Force, as we explained previously, is in need of huge numbers of aircraft, whether combat or unmanned, which is the lesson learned from the war between Russia and Ukraine. Egypt is not a fighter factory. The process of stopping the aviation industry goes back to the emergence of a new regime that wants to directly benefit from its pillars through arms deal commissions. It is the one that stopped manufacturing programs. Weapons seriously, but since 2015 we have known that the Egyptian arms industry will return because Egypt will not be able to meet military purchases through imports only and that the import process will largely stop, which is what is actually happening.

The C-390 is an inevitable choice for Egypt, and is complemented by the preparation of the Y-20 as the future of transport aircraft development in the Egyptian Air Force.
