China just recently revealed its j35 stealth craft. This not only confirms chinas capacity and capabilities to produce multiple fifth gen aircraft, but also signals that china is serious with selling its models to other nations, not just for economic gain, but to topple American sales and influence. Besides the j35, they also have the fc-31 prototype. Which can be sold to nations that want solid TOT for a great stealth platform at a much more affordable price. (Not cheap, but affordable).

The aircraft has been offered for joint production and export since its announcement in 2012. No real interest in the aircraft was shown until it was announced that it would enter service with the Chinese Navy and after China fully financed the project. After the purchased development was offered to many countries that refused to participate for fear of technical and financial risks, China achieved successes and acceleration in the development program, which led to international customers beginning to show serious interest in the aircraft since 2022. It was offered to the Gulf countries for financing and as a tactical aircraft to replace fourth-generation fighters. In fact, the countries most interested in the aircraft are Pakistan and Egypt. The Egyptians are negotiating for local production. In fact, Egypt will not produce it until it actually enters service in China after a year or two. The Pakistanis are promoting that the aircraft may enter service at the end of 2025 or the beginning of 2026. Their service indicates that the development and testing program is close to completion. Pakistan wants to buy 80 aircraft to replace the F-16 fleet. It is believed that Egypt wants to buy 120 aircraft in exchange for local production operations. The aircraft remains A negotiation and pressure tool for the Gulf against Western countries, but it is not expected that any of them will buy the plane in a real way, but the plane itself is an attraction for many Asian countries and even Latin America. Some see the plane, even if it is at the same level as American fighters, but it is distinguished from them in that it operates like fourth-generation fighters with a greater operational presence than American fighters that require long and exhausting maintenance, which makes the effectiveness of American fighters in carrying out continuous operations doubtful, in addition to the lower cost of operation and possession. China offers a better ammunition package than that offered by America, in addition to the absence of political restrictions. Countries like Egypt will have the freedom to use Chinese fighters in the airspace of neighboring countries in the event of any threat to Egyptian national security, unlike Western weapons that restrict their use operationally. To use quantitative restrictions on the Chinese side, there are no quantitative restrictions. In addition to the size of the demand that determines the feasibility of local production or not. China itself chose the plane for the Chinese Navy, which makes the demand for it for one aircraft carrier, while the Chinese Air Force has not confirmed orders for it, which makes exporting the plane essential. Also, what will it gain? China from influence

Egypt is also a competitor in the field of military supplies

Some do not know that Egypt's relative international weight is large and its importance is high for major countries. Also, the entry of any armament into the Egyptian army is considered a sign of effectiveness and quality of performance, so it has acquired a large international marketing mark. Chinese weapons did not spread in the Gulf until after their spread in Egypt. Egypt has negotiating tools, including China's need for Egypt to be a forward manufacturing base in the face of the restrictions imposed by Europe and America on Chinese products. Also, the high cost of air freight has led to Chinese companies transferring many production lines to Egypt. Also, the size of the Egyptian market and the preferential international trade agreements signed by Egypt with countries with a population of 3.5 billion are all factors that make the aircraft an export to Egypt and other countries, a factor of importance to China before the importing countries

It could also be a bargaining chip to get meteors for their rafales as well. I see no reason why they’d purchase more French crafts without it, j10c is really supposed to be a workhorse craft with asea and advanced capabilities. Personally if you ask me we should induct at least a hundred j10c aircraft’s with some tot. Then go full throttle on j31/35 for inducting 150+ crafts with legal licensing for manufacturing. This will effectively allow the Egyptian Air Force to quite literally retire their f16 fleet immediately overnight. Trump may not like that since he’s all about business and wants to capitalize on sales for the US. BUT…trump also hates the war in Ukraine and Palestine. He knows it would be better to work along side Egypt to a certain degree.

DCNS BRAVE

Things may be managed differently. Egypt will get Meteor missiles. It requested 200 missiles and will get them. This is also not enough for Egypt because of the price, even for the Rafale fighters themselves.
Egypt requested the manufacture of the PL-15 missile for Egypt locally to integrate it into the eastern fighters and is almost certain to be in the F-16 fleet, while Egypt may integrate the ASTRA-MK2/3 missile into the Rafale fighters in the future, as India is targeting it at a price of half a million dollars per missile. The PL-15 missile is necessary for Egypt, whether for air-to-air versions, ground/air versions for air defense, or even the ARM version. Egypt sees the expansion of drones as well as air platforms as requiring more air-to-air missiles at an economic cost. It is true that India offered Egypt to produce the ASTRA missile as part of the Indian fighter purchase program and integrate it into the RAFALE / MIG-29 / LCA TEJAS fighters, in addition to other Indian missiles as ammunition on the fighters in the event that Egypt purchases the TEJAS fighter. The matter is currently hindered by the unavailability of the GE F-404 engine, and a solution has now appeared. It is the integration of the GE F-414 engine into the TEJAS MK1A fighter, as the difference in the engine diameter is limited, which makes it possible to integrate it into the aircraft structure without requiring major modifications. Therefore, Egypt is expanding to obtain the largest number of BVR missiles, as usual, from several sources to ensure availability and meet requirements. The story of Egypt pressuring the West to release ammunition and development programs. Egypt is always looking for other solutions to be away from any pressure from the French side, which knows very well that if Egypt does not meet its requirements for ammunition and the flexibility to integrate other ammunition into the Rafale fighters, it will bypass obtaining any French fighters and French weapons in the future, especially since the French side wants more deals with Egypt as a result of the European economic downturn. The availability of Chinese-Russian competition is becoming more fierce with time, with the availability of fifth-generation Chinese fighters, making it a better option than the Rafale

TEJAS mk1A is not up to par with j10c unfortunately. It serves as a good foundational aircraft, but it isn’t really as proven as the j10. Pakistan confirmed that in some areas the j10 outperformed even f16s. Integration of astra bvr missile on mig29 and rafale will be a logistics issue, combined with meteor, pl-15 and r-77 bvr missiles. I only see TEJAS mk1a as a trainer craft or demonstrator to then be used as Egypts ceramonial platform for air shows. Indian helicopters have more potential tbh. Hal LCH can be used as a template to create a domestic Egyptian attack copy or while being used freely with no strings attached, unlike us Apaches. They’re also more cost effective than Apache helos. HAL druv and rudra can be used for secondary purposes, such as retiring the gazelles and relegating them to helicopter training. They contain no American or Israeli components either as India wants them to be Indian manufactured. I’ve spoken against jf-17 in the past because statistically speaking, Tejas does perform better then the jf-17 block three in speed. But its tech is more related to j10 then Tejas. Thus, this would in theory make jf-17 more strategically important for the eaf. They both have similar components and can carry the same munitions as well, I’d imagine even AESA radars from j10 can also be put into jf-17 more easily.

If only Egypt would use its Military might to prevent the extermination of the Palestinians in Gaza!!!

How many freaking times are we going to go over this stupid argument??? Egypt cannot intervene on Palestine's behalf if there is a strong American presence in the region, especially since damn near every middle eastern nation has American bases which are also manned with American personnel, that they can use as a staging area against Egypt!!! From Jordan to Saudi, and turkey to Qatar, what the hell do you want us to do??? We can’t do shit! We’ll be bombarded with sanctions to the point where collapse for us is inevitable since we are surrounded by war-torn states and western facilities that side with Israel! They do rotations with their damn aircraft carriers to send us a message to not get involved. What then Kyussis? You tell us. Stick to weapons/equipment procurement and don’t litter this thread with an irrelevant topic. Or get involved on the forum with a related thread pertaining to the topic!

I remeber president Sisi visited CATIC exhibition area in Egypt, where they mentioned a joint project, any idea on what is the project?

The TEJAS mk1A was a major contender as an advanced trainer and light fighter. The General Electric engine crisis knocked it out.
The J-10CE class is parallel to the TEJAS-MK1A class. Even though the J-10C is larger than the JF-17, the rejection was structural and performance-related, not just the radar but also the structure and engine.
The main objective of purchasing equipment from India is to transfer technology. The Indians are open to expanding their defense markets. China was in the past more flexible in transferring technology. Now it is gradually losing its flexibility, so Egypt is looking for other sources. It cannot trust a single weapons supplier, whether Chinese, South Korean, French or Russian. Regarding the Astra & PL-12 missiles, they were all components of the Russian R-77 missiles and developed from them. There is no problem in maintenance and overhaul as long as the preparation is economically feasible. A missile like the ASTRA-MK2 has been integrated into more than 100 fighters over the course of 40 years makes there requests of up to 1000 missiles, so its local construction and maintenance does not represent the slightest problem. The same story is the PL-15 missile, produced locally in the manner announced in multiple versions. Its market size in Egypt may reach 3000 missiles, especially by integrating a version of it into 60 air defense batteries to replace the SA-6 & SA-3 batteries. The ARM version is an idea related to the small Gulf armies that possess weapons from a single Western source, but things are different here in Egypt. Let us give an example: Egypt in 1988 asked America to assemble 5000 AIM-9 missiles to be integrated into MIG-21/F-4/F-16 aircraft, as Egypt had 476 MIG-21 aircraft at that time. The same thing happened when Egypt requested 1300 AIM-7 missiles to be integrated into F-4/F-16 fighters, and Egypt was assembling the MAGIC-2 missile to work on the Mirage aircraft. Simply put, Egypt has a large and larger air force. What is announced is that simply during wartime you will not find it easy to obtain weapons and Egypt is positioning itself as a center for producing weapons to sell them to Africa and the Arab countries. This is an agreement that was made with South Korea and will be repeated with China and India. Even the Turks were told by Egypt to establish factories in Egypt for export to Africa. South Korea was producing Apache components and structures for America. The M109 cannon is still produced in South Korea, which Korea requested a few years ago for a number of locally produced M109 cannons, 155/39 caliber, as a center cannon, although it produces and exports the K9 cannon. Currently, Egypt is exporting deals that include Egyptian-made weapons and even new ones from the Egyptian army’s stockpiles, such as the Burkina Faso contract for the Karaz vehicles and GAZ 3308 vehicles with the Lafahd and Temsah armored vehicles. The same thing applies to PL-15 missiles for Egypt and Algeria.

Palestine is an Islamic land, not just Egyptian. Egypt fought 4 wars. You all want to fight to the last Egyptian soldier, and you are all honorable on the surface and traitors in reality. When Muslims unite to fight Israel and the West, Egypt will not be late, but Egypt will not fight for people who are more capable of insulting and attacking Egypt. Some enter just to criticize Egypt because Egypt is developing its capabilities better than their countries. Any kind of hatred and jealousy, nothing more, and let it be in Palestine, Muslims, and Islam. So leave these trivialities and claims of honor and dignity that you do not have.
