Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, surprised the Egyptians with a post on his official account on the "X" platform about the Dabaa nuclear plant after his meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

In a post on his official account, Grossi expressed his honor to meet President Sisi, stressing the agency's "full support for the Dabaa nuclear plant project", considering that the Dabaa plant "will change the rules of the game" as Egypt has become a country relying on nuclear energy.

The Director General of the International Agency described the project as a "historic achievement" that will contribute to enhancing energy sustainability in Egypt, praising Egypt's active role and its "steadfast commitment and support for nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation efforts".

It is possible that during Putin's next visit we'll see an increase in Egypt with 4 to 6 new production units will be announced, similar to the 4 units being built in Dabaa.. Because a few year ago it was announced that Egypt was conducting negotiations with South Korea, China, Russia and France to establish a station similar to the Dabaa station..

Dr. Amjad Al-Wakil, Chairman of the Nuclear Power Plants Authority, confirmed that the Authority is currently studying increasing the reactors in the Dabaa area to 10 reactors instead of 8 reactors as planned, in addition to studying the establishment of 2 small reactors so that the total capacity produced by the Dabaa station becomes 14 thousand megawatts, but these proposals are still under study until now.

Al-Wakil, added during the Youm7 symposium, "Dabaa is a dream come true," that owning a nuclear power plant is a symbol of the political sovereignty and economic power of the state, which adds to Egypt's prestige among the countries of the world. The Dabaa plant works to strengthen Egyptian-Russian relations, as the expected lifespan of the Egyptian nuclear plant in Dabaa reaches 100 years, especially since Dabaa is not the first cooperation between the two countries Egypt's research reactor in Inshas is considered the first real cooperation in this field since 1956.
