if you are referring to the Rakhines, they are around 1/5th Bengali and 4/5th Bamar loosely speaking, so I doubt they want to join with us Bengalis. As it is they are actively kicking out the Rohingya, which is the same ethnic and genetic group as their ancestral mothers. I am not even sure they are aware about their own genetic and ancestral history. I think most Bangladeshi do not know that Arakan was Bengali Chittagonian/Rohingya homeland for thousands of years.

I was talking about Rohingya. Whole is Arakan is not needed, a piece of Arakan commensurate with the Rohingya Muslim population will be sufficient and fair too.
