These machines are incredible but the most important part of them is the people who engineer them, fly them and maintain them and the military doctrine, strategies, tactics and culture that has evolved through decades of lessons learned fighting. And they're defending our 2 Muslims countries that make these machines so special.

Sure, but the world is moving on. The F-22 and F-35 are incontestably better than the F-16, for example. To a lesser extent, so are the Eurofighters, Rafales and so on - these are all half a generation ahead in every parameter.

For Pakistan, considering their budget, Chinese options seem appealing for their future. The JF-17s seem to have provided an affordable capability for now, and the other J series aircrafts could provide a similar affordable option in future.

don't agree with that. In my opinion quality counts rather than quantity. That's why the western planes have better kill ratio than the ( example) Russian ones where they are in majority in counts to the western planes counts. But like i said, i don't hold the J-10 as a bad plane. it only lacks the combat experience and we only can do a realistic comparison after that.

Mig-15 also has a lot of "combat experience". The world had long entered a new tech age.

F-16 has evolved from the baseline A and B models all the way to the F-16V which incorporates all the technology available to it and hence remains a formidable aircraft.
