Federal cabinet gives nod to imposition of emergency in KP; summary sent to president

Anyone with a phone, Wi-Fi, and unlimited confidence can make a video and become an overnight philosopher. Meanwhile, people who can't afford basic food, clothing, and shelter are probably wondering how this helps them survive another day.

From Pakistan's foundation and through the 80s, Pakistan was ahead of India and Bangladesh. But then 'democracy' arrived after Zia died. The two power hungry parties PPP and Muslim League started their 'democracy' from 1988 onward and brought Pakistan to a very bad situation from which Musharraf's 1999 coup started to pull Pakistan back from. But those two parties learned their lesson and decided not to play by the Establishment's playbook again and signed the Charter of Democracy (2006?). They are now in power and I foresee them enjoying power into the foreseeable future as part of a Hybrid system.
Imran was offered a similar plan while Imran was the PM of Pakistan. But he was too arrogant and too stupid to avail the offer. His 'politics' has been about anarchy and protests. Look at how many times he held public protests since 2014? So it is like 'Give me the Power or else' but when given the Power, he was lazy and cavalier. When removed from power, anarchy again.
The current Hybrid system had pulled Pakistan back from the brink of 2022/23 but the hard won gains are in a major threat due to the Iran war--and things could get even worse if that war doesn't stop. But Imran has made it clear: He wants Pakistan itself to fail. Kind of a Lenin like approach where even a Russian military defeat was desired to bring the Revolution.
You guys underestimate to what extent Imran would go to gain power. I equate him with Mujib ur Rehman!

Is that really an admission of PTI being a democratic movement in the country? 😊
My norwegian nigga...please try to understand, democracy in Pakistan IS THE PROBLEM.

Under a purely representative democratic system, we are a perfect example of Plato's ship without an expert crew. Long march after long march will leave the country crippled and a laughing stock. Plato argued for a council of wise and qualified philosophers, to replace the demagoguery of representative democracy. This is precisely the plan in Pakistan and it is already happening. Long overdue if you ask me!

That is an incredibly simplistic and ignorant assessment.

East Pakistan and Siachen were not lost by democratically elected governments, not that there has ever been a truly empowered democratic government after Khwaja Nazimuddin was pushed out.

As for economic metrics, West Pakistan started out ahead of India and East Pakistan in per capita income and received huge amounts of Western and Gulf money in the form of aid and loans return for surrendering its national sovereignty and adopting laissez faire economic policies that fuelled consumption funded growth without building any significant domestic industrial capacity. After the Soviets were defeated , the taps ran dry and the chickens came home to roost as the mujahidin the ISI had trained started to turn on Pakistan.

India followed socialist policies , carried out major land ownership reforms and prioritized domestic industrial capacity building instead of free imports of Western goods, prioritizing investment while sacrificing consumption based growth. Their model was also significantly impacted by the end of the Cold War, but they were able to reorient to a more market based economy after carrying out deep structural reforms under an IMF programme because they had built stronger institutions than Pakistan even though they had lower per capita GDP at that time.

Bangladesh's per capita GDP rise can mainly be attributed to it leveraging its LDC tariff advantage to the hilt, primarily under Hasina's rule, and becoming the world's second largest garmet exporter. However it is lopsided economic model and it is unclear if it will survive the loss of tariff advantages once Bangladesh graduates out of LDC status in the next few years.

You pretty much portraying cry babies Imranists on social media who cry all the time.

But anyways.... for a simple question, you came up with above usual BS mantra.

You guys are too emotionally charged mentally unstable to be anywhere near power. I would rather have corrupt Sharif khandaan then emotionally charged mentally unstable PTI cry babies in power. Atleast PMLN does some work where as PTI builds sign boards with stalled projects and fake promises. Hasn't been a week and KPK is already healing.

Btw i have realized the best way to glitch PTI cultists is just ask them a simple straight forward question about minerals export and they will have the biggest meltdown. 😂

No emotion is involved here. It is simply the law.

It is you who cannot accept that you cannot be the aggressor and victim at the same time. That is what your holy Pak Army is trying to do with "hybrid regimes"

Tell me where I'm being emotional exactly? Am I wrong that Pakistani army is a massive business empire? Am I wrong that they are in nearly every business? Am I wrong that they meddle in politics, create test tube politicians to back in elections that they rig anyways?

Where is the 'emotion' you keep seeing in all this? Please point out the emotional portions of my text.

Seedhi si baat hay Bhai, every army in the world except this one knows it.

Army Job= pew pew, thaa thaa, boom boom, atten-hut march match

Not Army Job= housing societies, making cheese, picking up civilians, censoring media , bullying politicians, engineering elections.

Now let's further be analytical here about it. No emotion. I want you to name me one modern country that is run by it's military like Pakistan is with its nonstop martial laws and hybrid regimes. Name the best one you can. Lets compare it to democracies with similar scenarios. Aap bataday hamme aaj aisi kya cheez hay Asim Munir me jo aapki itna appeal krti hay

Finally, you think this doesn't take a toll on the army itself? When your officers are concerned with internal politics and social affairs, are they spending enough time with the boys in the firing range or whatever their actual job is? I doubt it.

Detractors and critics of democracy in Pakistan speak as if we've had decades of democracy that didn't work. We've never had one genuine candidate, not even IK who came out of pure popular vote. They've meddled in every single one.

If we were a lawful country with a working judiciary with civilian supremacy, many officers would have been booked for treason by now.

His only purpose in any KP or PTI related threads is to rage bait others and spread misinformation completely derailing the thread

Well sometimes I feel like banging my head really hard into a wall and then I remember Fauj supporters still exist in 2026, so I just go talk to them.

You guys underestimate to what extent Imran would go to gain power.
To the extent he willingly let go off power in both the province of Punjab & KPK to trigger early elections as per constitution of Pakistan?
Islamabad (AsiaNews) – Pakistan's former prime minister, Imran Khan, secured the dissolution of two provincial assemblies, that of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa yesterday and that of Punjab three days earlier, both of which were controlled by his party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (Pakistan Movement for Justice, PTI).

The PTI leader is trying to force Pakistan’s federal government to dissolve the National Assembly and hold elections before the scheduled date in October,

...democracy in Pakistan IS THE PROBLEM.
How can it be when Pakistan NEVER experienced a democracy in the first place? 🙄
