We defeated World Cup winner Argentina with Messi as the only team in the tournament just 3.5 years ago in Qatar.
Less than 1 weak ago we drew with Uruguay, 2 time World Cup champions and one of the most accomplished teams in World Cup history and a favorite to advance with Spain.
We played against Spain, the reigning European champions and World Cup favorites with a fit Yamal and a Spain team with a chip on their shoulder after the shock result against Cape Verde where they should have scored 3-4 goals at least based on their missed chances.
We are the only Asian team in history to advance from a World Cup group stage alongside Japan and South Korea.
It is rich from an Iranian, who have nothing to show for in World Cup history, to talk about embarrassment for Asia with this in mind.

If Iran does not win this game, they will never advance from a World Cup group stage. Even though this World Cup has made it easier than ever before with 48 teams competing compared to the usual previous 32 teams.
Lukaku is beyond finished. He has played, what 5 games this season? He looks like a mummy out there. Barely moving. Same with De Bruyne.
Imagine comparing this team with Spain.

I wanted the Saudi's to win too, although Spain is probably the team in Europe (after England) I would want to win it.

I think it's better for a draw here. Topping the group would most likely slot Iran into a bracket with France, Spain, and Germany. A second-place finish would steer Iran toward an easier bracket with likely Australia being the opponent in the first KO round.

I don't think Iran has the luxury of playing that particular version of Risk.
If any opportunity for a win is there, just grab it!

It is not about taking any sides nor did I even start this discussion. That Iranian troll did that. However in terms of accomplishments in the World Cup, KSA has far superior results and achievements than Iran. Whether historically (just by being able to advance from a World Cup group stage as 1 of the only 3/4 Asian teams to do it) or judging by recent results as recently as 3.5 years ago by defeating World Cup champions Argentina, with Messi etc., as the only team in the tournament.
That aside, Belgium, by no metric whatsoever, objective or subjective, is anywhere even close to being as good as Spain. There is no discussion here either. Unless you want to troll.
It amounts to discussing whether KSA/Iran or Pakistan are better at cricket. The answer to this question is plain obvious. So is the KSA/Iran World Cup accomplishment comparison as well as the Spain-Belgium comparison.
Anyway I did not write a single negative post about Iran in any way whatsoever until the two Arab-obsessed (as well as Arabized) trolls started their desperate trolling and unmotivated insults.
Anyway I am leaving it here, as it is a waste of time for me. Will just end by saying that Belgium are truly pathetic once again.
ANOTHER big opportunity missed by Belgium despite playing with 1 player less. Iran's best player is their goalkeeper. Belgium should have scored at least 2 goals by now. Their XG is also superior.
