FIFA World Cup 2026

Dude, you haven't watched AFC matches. This is not the first time that our Arab neighbors do this.

I think it was 2014 or 2018, where Iran needed a draw against South Korea to go to the world cup and all Qatar had to do was not to lose against Uzbekistan conceding more than 5 goals.

Guess what? Qatar conceded 5 goals :) And Qatar was one of the good teams back then, and there was no way in hell that Uzbekistan could defeat Qatar by scoring 5 goals.

Later, the Uzbek player who played in our league at the time didn't deny it when we accused his team of conspiring against us with the Qataris.

Luckily we did go to the world cup that year because we defeated South Korea.

Iran's goal difference is not bad. We're already ahead of South Korea, Scotland and Uruguay. Only f*cking Iraqis pushed Senegal forward by pulling an Iraq. Otherwise, we had already advanced to the next round.

And the Islamic Republic calls those assh*les "brothers".

you are right. although even if Algeria beat Austria, we go through as well.

1. Austria beats Algeria --> Iran is through
2. Algeria beats Austria --> Iran is through
3. Uzbekistan beats Congo --> Iran is through
4. Uzbekistan draws with Congo --> Iran is through
5. Ghana beats Croatia --> Iran is through

the five scenarios we have ...
Watch Uzbekistan lose to Congo, Austria and Algeria get a draw, and Queiroz pulls a Queiroz and defends with 11 players.

I'm not very optimistic lol

Uzbekistan have a chance to draw, Austria should beat Algeria, lets see
Only if they play well with all their heart.

I trust f*cking Austrians more than I trust Ghana or Uzbekistan.

We also hit the bar twice and Taremi missed a penalty. We aren't lucky lol

if Egypt defeats Australia ( which I doubt due to injuries in this match and the yellow cards) we gonna face probably Argentina haha .. i hope we lose to australia 1-0 or 2-1 something like that and not facing Argentina and lose like 6 or 7 :'D

Bro, don't let the name of Argentina scare you. Saudi Arabia defeated them.
We played really well against Argentina in 2014 during Messi's prime. We even deserved to win with a bit of luck, but ended up losing 1-0 in extra time of the second half.

messi prime but not argentinas prime .
this argentina is a different beast
They lost 1-0 to Germany in the final. The same Germany that committed that genocide against Brazilians. This Argentina isn't really a different beast.

This is the best World Cup in history. Top in attendance, average attendance, stadiums, parties, vibes and on and on. The US could easily host another 2-3 World Cups simultaneously with this one if it chose. Multiple new state of the art stadiums will be complete by 2038.

BTW, the only rubes here are the likes of you and the other cretins in that echo chamber you call an Iran thread. Truly pathetic you lot
Only top in attendance because of the expansion in the format.

Attendance is on par with 1994. Your very own numbers showed the difference to be 22. 22. That is not what I'd call a reason to hyperventilate in celebration.

FWIW, you do know what a time difference is, right? And, with most of the games being played in the evening hours, that means Europe and a lot of Asia don't have the benefit of seeing the games live.

Since I live in AZ, and we never observe DST, I'll help you understand. Right now;

- the UK is +8 hours ahead
- mainland Europe is +9
- BAH is +10
- Iran is +10.5 IIRC
- Pakistan is +12
- Japan is +15 IIRC

A game that is at 1300 my time is 0100 in Pakistan. I don't know many people in Pakistan who are willing to stay up half the night to watch the game live. By moving the host locations around, it gives everyone a reasonable opportunity to see games live.
