Argentina has been playing like this for years now. It's not some new thing they suddenly started in this tournament. The only reason their thuggery keeps getting brushed aside and seems to be forgotten is because they actually won the previous ones.

It's not an epic team anymore with an average age of 30 ,and it showed. England has had a great footballing history they invented the game and are far younger. One can only carry the team so much and Messi did nothing last night, and looked dejected and finished.
Argentina were lucky beyond belief to not see many goals go past them, the Spanish missed chances, which had nothing to do with the defence. They should have had another player sent off but again due to rigging they were giving them chances. They should have never been in the final after with that happened in the Egypt game, I have no idea why people defend them after that.

They needed another sent off. Disgraceful, dirty team which has been allowed throughout their games to get away with it. Their game against Egypt was one of the worst things ever seen in football. They should be served fines even bans after their conduct when the game ended with Spain.

Generally you find South Americans have now little history of military service or success in the modern era. Possibly due to the fact for many years post WW1 they suffered under dictatorships and there was widespread military conscription, but I digress....

Cricket needs to take a back seat now, and that's been the case for years. Everything suffers due to people following something and ignoring all else. Look at the Olympic performances, terrible.
