How The Rankings Are Calculated

The methodology considers factors such as aircraft modernisation, mission capability, force balance, logistical infrastructure, strike potential, and defensive strength.
The organisation currently tracks more than 48,000 military aircraft operated by 129 air arms across 103 countries, making it one of the most comprehensive assessments of global military aviation.
A Recognition Of India’s Air Power
India’s sixth-place ranking underscores the Indian Air Force’s growing capabilities despite ongoing efforts to modernise and expand its combat fleet. With the induction of advanced aircraft, indigenous platforms, and upgraded operational infrastructure, the IAF continues to strengthen its position among the world’s leading air forces.
The ranking also reflects India’s increasing strategic importance in the Indo-Pacific region and its commitment to maintaining a credible and technologically advanced air combat capability.

I don't worry at all. There is no reason that US worries about so called “Chinese military buildup”, military wise China is still behind India.
I wasn't aware that India had that kind of an Air Force. I mean are they nearly on par with the United States? Doubtful.Global Air Power Rankings: India 6th, US No. 1

Wholeheartedly disagree with you about US naval power. US naval sub fleet alone is more than a match for any country on this planet. While ranking PLAAF below IAF seems absurd to me, there is no running away from the fact that IAF will rank ahead of PAF, no matter how u quantify of qualify. Japan, France, South Korea, UK, Germany... all have strong Air Forces but IAF leaves them behind due to the sheer numbers involved.
I also don't think US Naval Aviation is stronger than PLAAF if taken alone. Or for that matter the Russian Air Force. My ranking will go something like this:
1: USAF
2: PLAAF
3:Russian AF
4:US Navy
5:Indian Air Force
6: Isreali Air Force
7
8
9
10 PAF
I am ranking PAF higher then them because PAF has recent combat experience. What is more, PAF has a desperate need to fight. That counts for a lot. Same reasons I rank the Isreali's so high.
