Global Naval Power Rankings 2026 - US Navy Retains Top Ranking

It is doubtful that a single Ohio class SSBN with 24 Trident II SLBMs can end the world.

The Trident II SLBM is the traditional ICBM without the hyper maneuverability of the modern hypersonic missiles, which can be quite vulnerable to the modern mid-course interceptor in large quantity.
I didn't say end the entire world, I said it was a civilization ender.

Like an individual country could be a civilization

Since China fully controls the military grade rare earth, and it can easily field several thousand mid-course interceptors like the HQ-29.

The maximum salvo launch of the Trident II SLBM for the USN should be 14 * 24 = 336 missiles, let's say if China fields 3000-5000 mid-course interceptors to deal with the 336 Trident II missiles. It can potentially greatly reduce the US nuclear threat against China.

Fortunately, we also have it—the civilization reset button. We call it the quality booster for calming our opponents. This world is not about you having nuclear submarines and nuclear bombs.

Folks, the discussion is about naval rankings.

Kindly advise me how any discussion of interceptors is related.

That makes sense. Since there are only a few players in the civilization reboot, let's not form cliques. Let's discuss some common equipment instead.

Much of the world is about nuclear deterrence. To make the other side realize that launching a nuclear first strike would also result in their national suicide

If that's the case China I believe might have already launched a first strike against the us.

Fortunately, Chinese leaders are much more rational than you appear to be and know the nuclear threat is real

Fact of the the matter is the MAD scenario is still there and will still be there virtually indefinitely

And you are talking about future stuff, I could easily bring up future Columbia class SSBN. But we're supposed to talk about current naval power

So what were you trying to say earlier? Trident nuclear threats? You want to storm out of the dining table where the five permanent members of the UN Security Council are having a meal together? The cost would be that no one gets to eat.
