Government POL prices News and Discussions

and they still won't cut their lavish expenses like security, protocols, free petrol and free abuse of "sarkari gari" by all the fatcats in judiciary, bureaucracy, parliament/senate, executive, and other elites.
how long can the masses tolerate this injustice?? other countries haven't gone to such extreme yet......leads me to think its the govt elites trying to make money off the backs of the poor (to pad their personal accounts/corruption)

Pakistan is a basket case.

Let me give you an anecdote here.

A village in Pakistan is captured by the British. The Brits enact toll on villagers crossing a bridge. Few days go by, and the Brits increase the tolls even more.

Seeing no villagers complaining, the Brits enact more tolls with a slap to each villager crossing the bridge.

Few days go by and the villagers protest. Then a head of villager is sent to negotiate a settlement. The head villager mentions that the toll and a slap results in long queue, hence request the Brits to recruit more men to collect tolls and slap villagers at a quicker pace to reduce the queue and waiting time.

Yeh haal hai hum Pakistaniyo ka..

let’s be honest, they already squeezed every rupee out of the people, and now they’re handing the awam a Rs5 lollipop as if they’ve done us a favour. After months of record taxation, inflated levies, and sky‑high fuel prices, this “relief” is nothing more than a photo‑op discount and a mockery.

Truth is they dnt care about people . They just want to rip them off. there was a law that govt cant get more than 80 rs as levy but they changed it and now robing the people. our elite is one of the worst in the world. truely leeches want to such single drop of blood.

The federal government announced on Friday that petrol and diesel prices have been reduced by Rs5, according to a notification from the Petroleum Division.

A grand gesture. A royal favour.
After months of bleeding the public dry, they’ve now tossed Rs5 back at the nation like a landlord flicking crumbs off the table and calling it charity.

And of course, they’re parading this microscopic discount as “evidence” that the economy is improving.
Because in their fantasy world, shaving five rupees off a Rs409 price tag is apparently a sign of national progress.
If this is improvement, then drowning slower must count as swimming.

According to the notification, the revised prices take effect from May 16.

After this “relief,” petrol stands at Rs409.78 per litre, and high‑speed diesel at Rs409.58.

So the same government that pushed fuel prices into the stratosphere is now handing the awam a Rs5 pity coin and expecting applause, gratitude, and maybe even a thank you parade.

It’s the kind of move where they set your house on fire, hand you a cup of water, and then congratulate themselves for their “excellent firefighting performance.”

If this is their version of an improving economy, then we’re not living in a country, we’re living in a dark comedy written by people who think suffering is a metric of success.

In Karachi, single, standard lollipops (like Candyland Funny Bunny or local brands) cost between Rs. 10 to Rs. 15 each.
😆 🤣
