Pakistan’s First Donkey Meat Shipment from Gwadar Free Zone Successfully entered Chinese Market​

GWADAR - Pakistan’s first shipment of donkey meat produced in the Gwadar Free Zone has officially entered the Chinese market after clearing customs at Tianjin Port on Wednesday, marking a milestone in bilateral trade under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

“This marks Pakistan’s first-ever export of donkey meat to China and the first food product manufactured in Gwadar Free Zone to reach the Chinese market—a truly historic milestone,” stated Hangeng, the Chinese company.

According to the shipment label, the consignment consists of frozen boneless donkey foreleg meat, packed in 25-kilogram cartons and produced at the Gwadar Free Zone in Balochistan. The product was processed for export under Pakistan’s veterinary inspection and certification requirements before entering the Chinese market.

Chinese, Australian firms sign MoU for $50 million seafood park in Gwadar​

GWADAR — China’s Hangeng Trade Company (SMC-Private) Ltd and Australia’s Master Lap Group Pty Ltd signed a memorandum of understanding on Monday to develop a seafood-processing industrial park in Gwadar Free Zone, the companies said.

The proposed investment is estimated at about $50 million, as per the agreement.

The park would include seafood-processing facilities, individual quick-freezing systems, refrigerated warehouses, packaging units, quality-testing laboratories and cold-chain logistics, according to the MoU.

Hangeng Chief Executive Andy Liao told Gwadar Pro that construction could begin within six months, with the first phase expected to start operations around June 2028.

The companies plan to conduct feasibility studies, establish a joint venture and seek financing for the project. They said the park would target exports to China, Australia, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Europe.

Two new flights set to operate at NGIA​

New Gwadar International Airport (NGIA) is all set to see two new flights operation from South Air Pakistan from July 9, 2026, to October 31, 2026.

Talking to Gwadar Pro Gwadar Station Manager Muhammad Saleem said that the airline will operate two scheduled weekly flights to and from Gwadar under the new timetable.

As per the schedule, on Thursdays, Flight Z8-922 will depart Karachi at 4:40 p.m. and arrive in Gwadar at 6:10 p.m. The return Flight Z8-923 will leave Gwadar at 6:40 p.m. and land in Karachi at 8:10 p.m.

On Saturdays, Flight Z8-909 will depart Karachi at 7:00 a.m. and arrive in Gwadar at 8:30 a.m. It will then continue to Quetta, departing Gwadar at 9:00 a.m. and arriving in Quetta at 10:40 a.m.

For the return journey, Flight Z8-910 will depart Quetta at 11:10 a.m., arrive in Gwadar at 1:10 p.m., and then leave Gwadar at 1:40 p.m., reaching Karachi at 3:10 p.m.

It will make more presence if the project of fencing was allowed to be completed. Gwadar will prosper in isolation from BLA terrorism. But BYC aka BLA political face protests stopped the project.

Hopefully with likes of Maharang in jail they can again work on that and secure Gwadar once for all.
