H-1B visas must end’: Wife of US citizen shares plight of landing IT jobs

This Indian kick back hiring needs to be looked into more. I had heard rumors of this once from a group of Indians I had gotten friendly with, that if you arrange a job for an Indian then he "owes" you and will either pay cash or return the favor some other way.

It explains why once Indians form the majority in a department , you subsequently only see hiring and promotion of other Indians.

we usually see the degrees of 3rd world countries are having less recognitions on the world platform, and yes the H1 visa issue is one among these talks we discussing here :coffee:

India holds the 4th position on the all-time Commonwealth Games medal table with 564 total medals, far ahead of both Pakistan and Bangladesh. 👍

All-Time Performance & Standings
    • India's Tally: 203 gold, 190 silver, and 171 bronze medals (564 total) across 18 appearances prior to the 2026 Glasgow Games, placing them 4th overall behind Australia, England, and Canada.
    • Pakistan: Historically secured a much smaller total medal count, usually remaining outside the top tier nations.
    • Bangladesh: Has secured very few medals in Commonwealth Games history and does not rank in the upper tiers of the all-time table.

US plans new fees for H-1B, L-1 visa renewals; Indian professionals likely to be hit hard

The Trump administration is considering expanding a little-known H-1B and L-1 visa fee to those renewing their work documents. This is likely to raise costs significantly for large US employers and impact Indian professionals who dominate H-1B extension approvals.

The administration of US President Donald Trump is making the H-1B regime tougher by expanding an additional visa fee for extending existing visas. Till now, the fee had to be paid only for new H-1B and L-1 visas. This could sharply increase costs for companies seeking to retain exiting foreign workers in the US on visas like the H-1B visa, and hit Indian professionals who accounted for a majority of all H-1B renewals in 2025. :coffee:
