Statistically, regardless of all other variables, if 70% of applicants are Indian, assuming everyone has identical skill sets, and assuming an identical selection process that is free from bias, then 70% of successful applicants will be Indian.

The problems being discussed here are of Indian workers undercutting domestic talent at the expense of employment for those domestic workers, and at no additional benefit than would be enjoyed compared to if domestic talent was hired. Indeed, tolerable wages and acceptable living standards are driven DOWN by this phenomenon all across the developed world.

This concept is as applicable to UK as it is to USA.

I think Trump is right to open this conversation on restricting the h1b visa monopolistic industry and the same principle applies to UK.

However, our Labour leaders are beyond stupid (conservatives are even worse) and at the moment, only Nigel Farage entering no.10 will actually shock this country into its senses.

Fair point raised. But this phenomena was seen in manufacturing too- the Chinese and other Asians having stolen blue collar jobs. No protest there. So why protest if Indians steal their white-collar jobs?

As an aside, why are these jobs being stolen by Indians only? Why not Pakistanis and BDs? You guys are about a third of our population- so why are you not stealing their jobs?
