HAL LCA Tejas: Updates, News & Discussions

Really ? Except missiles what exactly are the success stories of DRDO ?
DRDO & Co. are the ones sustaining every single stupid purchase of our armed forces from Jaguars to T-90 the list is endless.

Who improved the MTBO of AL 31FP MIDHANI did, who saved army's ass when the sights of T-90 failed DRDO did, who integrated Brahmos at a fraction of the cost DRDO and HAL did,

I have no lost love for DPSUs but this uninformed bashing of them is really juvenile.
Any other self respecting organization would have thrown the GSQR's in the army's face after seeing their fantastical and crazy demands (Multi Calibre gun, 55 tons 4 man tank etc. etc.) but I guess DRDO is the quiet punching bag

I can also turn around and say the only reason DRDO's missile program succeed is because dalals from the armed forces couldn't get import them, but that would be me being disingenuous and twisting the facts to suit a narrative just like you are right now

Predicted by us all as per usual just aa few pages ago.

As mentioned, this project is dead. Now will be approaching 5 years of not a single plane delivered by HAL

Anyone claiming this plane will be significant part of IAF is laying.

MK2 has not flown yet, AMCA still in design stage.

Gone quiet recently?
Good cannon fodder for us on the internet, but rest assured the scores of Tejas in various stages of qualifications and assembly in the various plants will be taken very seriously by PAF. Once, they can sort out the qualification issues for the first few, the remaining will roll out fast. GE has also got its 404 production line running hot.

2026 will be the year of Tejas and also the year PAF starts getting more J-10s.

2022 was supposed to be year of Tejas, then 2023, then 2024....

Start of this year HAL promised 12 to be delivered. They delivered 0

They then lined up 6 aiframes. 4 had no enghines, 2 had used engines.

Let one enter service first.

PAF takes everything seriously. Taking out 5 Rafales in an hour leads me to think currently Tejas will be another Turkey shoot

I can never get over the poor build quality of Tejas, everytime I see it. It is even more shocking when you consider how long India has been building fast jets in India.
