HAL LCA Tejas: Updates, News & Discussions

Begging for what? Do you even read what you post? The report is of R&DE(E)'s radome's trials.

How is that related to LCA?

You mentioned Tejas replacing imports, 25 years after first flight you are begging for Rafales. Can you get your head round that?

I know you like being spoon fed, but I ain't gonna do your work for you.

You still didn't share any official press release regarding the contract. There's no source suggesting India had been license producing them. And even if we presume we did, it would not be 100% ToT or transfer of IPR to just copy away.

Tejas is a light aircraft, Rafale is a medium weight twin engine jet. I mentioned components replacing imports not the jets itself. Begging? We're paying for it and will be making it here locally with high IC%. We're not begging anyone to sell a few units while also asking them to finance it at 4.2% interest rates lmao.

Maybe leave this thread for updates instead of making it a trollfest?

So some reddit post is your source? Even then, a comment with a BRF forum link with no mention of any ToT by any member? 🫡😂

You want to talk about fighter aircraft development timelines and import reliance while sitting in a glass house built on foreign loans? Let's talk actual facts: Pervez Musharraf was in Beijing begging China for the J-10 back in 2006 and your air force had to sit outside Beijing’s waiting room for over 15 full years before inducting the J-10CE in 2022. You couldn't even procure an off the shelf single engine fighter without waiting a decade and a half for Chinese financial credit lines to cover the bill.

And let’s not pretend you forgot the absolute, unmitigated nightmare your entire military establishment went through during Operation Sindoor. Indian precision stand-off munitions penetrated your air defense network bypassing your HQ-9P SAM missile batteries and long range surveillance radars decimated C4i of airbases like Nur Khan and Murid, turned Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba command infrastructure in Muridke and Bahawalpur into rubble and exposed your air defense architecture as paper thin. That tactical thrashing shook your GHQ so hard it forced an emergency, panic induced strategic reset across your entire defense command.

Look at the reality now: your defense planners are frantically begging Beijing to fast track 5th gen J-35 stealth fighters and desperately scrambling to assemble a dedicated Rocket Force Command just to re-establish a basic conventional deterrent after getting thoroughly outplayed.

So who’s really the one begging and coping here? Sit down, shut up and don't embarrass yourself further.
Don't forget you conquered Lahore port too with your navy, and shot down 2 Erieyes and 6 Vipers with your S400 according to your joke of IAF chief.

Nothing short of an achievement for the LCA programme in my opinion.

This is the result of decades of in-house R&D. It'll be only the second type of Indian airborne radar to enter mass production and operational service with the AEW&Cs radar being the first.
