HAL LCA Tejas: Updates, News & Discussions

I know, you keep telling us for the last 10 years, you made 2 squadrons, but in next 10 years you will make 10 squadrons. Lets revisit this thread at end of this year and see what 2024 brings, think you may go into hiding by then....
I am reading your BS for 2 pages now, you are trying to potray like the orderbook was of several 100s of aircraft, and there was a production problem is assembly line due to any number of reasons.

Now if you want to continue with this BS, please provide a "GOOD" source which mention production problems in Tejas.
Other than supply chain issue of GE404, I havent heard anything.

But I am pretty sure you wont be able to. Heck even resins for composite going to be manufactured in India

You asking around please give me data like a begger, no one going to spoon feed you. If you want to be spoonfed, then provide the data or sources where production problems are mentioned as you trying to potray.

Nice response kaku
I smell envy bro
They ridiculed Tejas for years
Now under Modi massive explosion of funding for Tejas and radars missiles arrived for the fighter at home and funding of 2 billion. For Amca signed off and they go on about production rates 😕

I already explained you with the logic your 50 5 y.o. brain could grasp. Yet you keep repeating same immature rant.
Okay, here is the lesson for toddlers.

Ordersize reflects production rate .
For example, Pakistan didn't bother to bring J10C assembly for order of 20.

Bhai, we are building a fighter from scratch and testing & certification takes time unlike assembling of JF-17s.

Problem with him is his country brought JF-17 from China and marketed to world as Joint Venture Fighter whereas, everyone knows all development, testing & certifying done either in China or by Chinese people. So, he thinks just order it in January, jet will be delivered in July.

Yes, Pakistan might have played some role in development of JF-17 but extent of it is unknow. Though they claim they done this & that, but on-ground things are not like they claim.

They are china mercy for everything
Every nut every bolt even the finance arrangement
If china pulls the plug
Game over

Let's not discuss JF-17 in HAL Tejas thread just like we don't discuss about SUPARCO in ISRO threads. We are clearly in different league with different priorities. We have to maintain our league.

Nope you need to build a full Indengious fighter at home so you need not go running to other countries for help me

Get that right and long term it's utopia
Numbers will come because as we keep telling you Pakistani people the assembly lines are growing and funding approved
We don't need your advice. Feed your population that outnumbers whole of Africa before telling others what to do.

On the subject, these rosy announcements on the LCA Flying Samosas have been made since the 1980s.

Tejas MK1A or MK2 should be compared to aircraft like Gripen, J10C, and F16V, rather than the JF17. JF17 is a low-grade aluminum alloy fighter with an air-cooled AESA Radar (in its block 3 configuration) designed primarily for nations with limited budgets unable to afford advance fighter jets.

It's ugly.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Different strokes for different folks.

Ugly and beautiful are subjective.

;)

She looks pretty dang sexy to me.

I always thought the design of the wings with the leading roots tapered from the main angle of the delta wings was genius. It basically allows for that angle to be steeper, giving the wings more surface area hence better lift, especially at takeoffs & landings & slower speeds. Almost similar to the idea of the F-7PG's wings which took the delta configuration of the MiG-21 F-13 and added surface area plus leading-edge flaps/slats. Same principle except these are at the wingtips as opposed to the wing roots on the Tejas. This gave the F-7PG much better lift & handling capabilities at slow speeds compared to the standard F-7/MiG-21.

I am more excited to seek the mk2, the renders i have seen so far are so much more aerodynamically beautiful than the mk1a.

it just doesn't look like a modern fighter but something from the early Cold War period. But the colour and shape of the aircraft has always appeared really ugly to me.
