HAL LCA Tejas: Updates, News & Discussions

Just out of interest, what are the salaries in DRDO, HAL, for engineers with the following qualifications:

1) BEng degree from a top public uni
2) MEng/MSc degree from a top public uni
3) Ph.D degree holder from a top public uni

For perspective, here in Zhejiang province, we pay 10,000 RMB a month to someone with 0 formal qualifications, for the most basic factory operator job. 15-20k for skilled labour, like skilled welders, etc. In a tier-III rural city where living costs are low. And they get free accommodation, highly subsidized groceries.

Engineering Ph.D's, working in top national R&D projects, can take home between 40k a month (small company) to 100- 150k a month (large companies). And this is just in the aerospace/defence sector. The tech, software sector pays way more.

Quick question, US had delivered the F404 engines a couple months back, how many Tejas have been made since then?

Around 11 MK1A have been built. However engine Delivery is delayed till July.

satisfying point is Mk1A were delivered from HALs Nashik's hub which is newly built 3rd production line for LCA rather than Blr plant.

It's too easy for turbofan engines to constrain India. HAL posted an article refuting his fake media, saying that negotiations for the F414 engine went smoothly. This comical incident proves that India's core military industry is increasingly dependent on foreign countries, and no matter how much noise their media makes, it is only brainwashing their own people. What is private enterprise cooperation is a joke. The engine is the crown of industry, and the fundamental source has never been private enterprises or state-owned enterprises, but a country's persistent determination and a large amount of long-term financial investment.

India will master turbofan engine technology within the next 10 years. The country has been working on the Kaveri engine since 1983.

But the good news is..., the TEJAs locked on to a JF-17 from the Ground - and achieved the Guinness World Record of the longest Lock without firing.

Wow, since 1983, and still all the Pechus haven't been delivered yet. How many Pechus have been delivered? When will all the remaining Pechus be delivered? What about Pechus MKII and the TEDBDF? Inshallah, when you have all of these in service, you can launch a strike against Pakistan and denuclearise it.

Developing an engine for a fighter jet is significantly more challenging than building the jet itself. Creating a powerful engine that’s compact enough to fit inside Tejas is an even more complex task, requiring multiple times the engineering precision and technological advancement.
