HAL LCA Tejas: Updates, News & Discussions

Did HAL not promise a MK1A Delivery this month?

All usual loud mouths gone into hiding now...

The pic is self-explanatory, no need to troll. Our stealth drone Ghatak will fly some day.

very impressive, indeed..

not the actual output, rather, the desire and willingness to put together a jet or a major drone from locally produced inputs!

we need to learn this

Even this was leaked unofficially. HAL is a PSU run by boomers.

It's 8th of Oct today, abuse them on 1st Nov :)
They should be able to deliver one to two aircraft considering they have at least two (?) engines and a handful of airframe ready. If they fail then ... well ... they are HAL ... they'll claim success in failing.

Think last week they were blaming Denmark as the new scapegoat for non delivery of a subsystem....

I'll talk to Denmark.

I am sorry (not) but I can't stop making pun of this as Indian members insist on trolling themselves. They claim that barring engines and ejection seat Tejas is entirely domestic, and now Denmark is somehow involved 🤔

Not making it up yaar....

It's a part of the engine itself
Well if it's funny

The component in question, manufactured by a Danish company, is an advanced electronic device that is part of the GE F404-IN20 engine of the Tejas Mk1A, responsible for processing vibration signals and ensuring the performance and diagnostics of the powerplant under different operating conditions.
Even as talks were on, HAL started the process of making the charge amplifier locally through a Bangalore-based company.

“We are now getting the part [from Denmark]. But we are also indigenising [the production of charge amplifiers], and will complete the process soon. What this means is that we will not need the [charge amplifier] as imports in the future,” a source explained.

The whole project is funny mate. By end of the year, if no new deliveries that will make it 4 years with HAL being unable to delivery a single plane despite 3 production lines and lots of promises.

Spin that however you want. That is a fact. Shocking is too diplomatic a word....
