The man who created Pakistan envisioned a country based on justice, impartiality and constitutional government, and repeatedly made clear that the Army should stay out of politics......
No wonder his vision looks so painfully distant from the Pakistan we have today....... He died just over a year after independence, helplessly stranded in a broken ambulance on the outskirts of national capital, leaving behind a country whose founding principles were soon to be badly compromised....
@M. Sarmad
Sarmad bhai,
Think of it as a journey, not as a destination. Pakistan is a work in process, as is every other nation.
Regards
Happy Independence day everyone!
I will like you all to see this beautiful music video edited by @Trailer23
Yeh Zameen (Song by Vital Signs / Junaid Jamshed)
I love this video because It shows landscape and people of Pakistan, some of the legends of Pakistan, Nusrat fateh ali khan, Nazia hasan, 92 Wc great Imran khan, the biggest legend & hero of all Dr. A.Q khan, and others too.
Beautiful editing @Trailer23
There are only 2 types of Baloch in Balochistan....... those who openly reject Pakistan, and those who dislike Pakistan but don't say it openly, either out of fear or because they benefit from the ruthless state machinery operating in their region.....
No amount of ISPR propaganda is going to change that.... Until the underlying grievances are genuinely addressed, the alienation will remain...
How do you solve problem of alienation with someone who openly rejects and with someone who discreetly rejects the State?
It is surprising that you did not claim that these people have ideological differences to the ideologue of Pakistan.
I don't disagree with you but considering the fact that ISPR said that they were gonna show something and that we didn't get a parade this year which is one of the few ways we get to know what our R&D is doing, this was a huge let down.Pakistan Independence Day Mubarak !!
To me, Independence day should not be about weapons or military displays/parades (imho) but a celebration of Pakistan, its people and freedom ( but PAF flyby's with flares are an 'approved' item though! ).
( just my thought's as i do think the military is "too prevalent" in Pakistani life .. imho ).
