Economy is in shambles because the people are in shambles.

Also I really don't understand the opposition to army rule. As long as it ensures 20 years of stable policy. Watching these politicans constantly squabble is tiring.
As per your definition of "shambles", has this economy ever been "not in shambles"?

The situation in Pakistan is simply one of glass half-full or half-empty. It simply depends on which color (political party affiliation) you wear and that paints the glass one way or the other.

The reality on the ground is that we are not that much worse or better than all of the past 25 years.

There are some who are screaming the sky is falling down since their man/woman is not sitting in governance and then there is the cheer-leading gang of those who claim everything is amazing since they have their man in the office.

Everything, everyone is expendable, prone to mistakes, and also capable of doing good and bad alike in terms of governance. This is the reality of Pakistan ever since its founding. I may come across as a neutral cynic, but the Pakistan experience has made me this way. I would further qualify by saying that I am an optimistic cynic. The potential is never too far from being fully realized in this country. Like many others, this keeps me going and perhaps also involved here at DPk.

Group which has failed Pakistan 6 times , and 30 years in power

PML (Nawaz /Shabaz) rule of power 15 year , 3 times , result record debt
PPP (Benazir/Zardari) rule of power 15 year , 3 times , result record debt

*Did not count Bhutto Senior in Government, an extra 5-7 years

-------------------------------------------------------------

Group which reduced Debt

Musharaf is dead , Imran Khan had only 2 years to work for Pakistan

Musharraf Rule , 7 years , Historic debt "reduction" , 23% debt reduction
Imran Khan/PTI , 2 year rule , 7% debt reduction

Brother be careful. Invisibles are watching 👀

Its ok , if invisible are watching let them watch and Participate to bring back Imran Khan

Pakistan belongs to all Pakistani , that is the foundation of creation of Pakistan

Pakistan is, in a way, fortunate that its arch-rival is India—a country that still lacks a basic understanding of the dynamics of Pakistani society. If I were in India’s position and truly wanted to weaken or destroy the Pakistan Army, I would never engage it in direct conflict. Instead, I would let it decay from within, like many other institutions in Pakistan. But the more India confronts the Pakistan military head-on, the stronger and more relevant it keeps that institution.

As for the Pakistan military: if you want to rule the country, then rule with dignity and competence. Otherwise, know that for now, you have only lost the public’s respect. But if the situation continues on this path—especially if India reaches some kind of settlement over Kashmir—you may find yourselves losing even your legitimacy to exist.

When a society decays and justice is denied, those unfit to rule eventually face punishment, affecting the rulers and the people. History has many examples of nations and civilizations destroyed. God has a way of working through things to mow the lawn; Pakistan, too, will face its reckoning.

It's too late to turn this ship around. Just be glad you're living in Germany; I count my blessings every day I live in the U.S., the greatest country to grace God's earth.

Jinnah said similar words, and the next thing you know, there wasn't a second vehicle to take him to a local hospital.

leave this country if possible. its the best solution
I never understood this mindset. I can understand the appeal obviously living in a more developed, healthy, society with more opportunities but it's honestly a besharm thing to do to make your life's goal to go live in a country built by the hard work of another people and beg to be a part of them.

It's even more besharm when you know they don't like you and anti-immigration is as high as ever but you plop over there then complain about not being liked. Not much class in that.

Eventually all third-worlders will have to realise you only gain respect by building your own native lands, not by escaping elsewhere. You should be the change you want to see. Immigration is seeing its last with the growing waves of anti-immigragion populism and nationalisms which makes sense as this has always been the case in history unless it was straight up invasions.

Government tu Civilian hands main dena pare gI
Translation: The Government will have to return back to Civilian Hands

For whom people voted, PTI

But I do agree Musharraf did quite well in 7 years he was in power
I liked him and admired his work

But now Public have Imran Khan /PTI as a Ideal choice, Civilians have a Leader who we like and want to form Government the decision should be respected. Because a honorable Pakistani Civilian exist we want him to form government. No need for Military to worry about Government
They can focus on military matter. The people Elected Imran Khan and PTI this wish should be respected

Exactly. In my opinion, rulers don't matter, justice does.

Exactly. I am perfectly ok with military ruling Pakistan. Infact I encourage military to come to front and rule us properly.
That is what they have learned. Never come out front again, for domestic and international reasons. Let the politicians stand out front and maintain the facade called democracy and take the abuse from the public. While they and the business elite stay in the back enjoying their lives and maintaining their control regardless of who is elected.

Pakistan won’t collapse. It’s gotten very good at Faustian bargains and balancing superpowers to hold the line. Besides, that when they elites are asked to through in their lots to maintain the system. For the average person, the best option is to emigrate.

They don’t have a share in building the system or saving it.

This will not work for longer now.
This will end the day India did two things:
1) stopped confrontation with Pakistan no matter what.
2) came up with a solution to Kashmir.
If that happened, this black hand ruling Pakistan from behind the scenes will die a miserable death.
Let's see when India realizes that.

Quite an important debate. Plz bear in mind the rule of Gen. Ayub and how it ended particularly the 1965 war and those behind it and the student protests of 1969.

Balban broke the power of Chahalgani slave lords by ending inter-marriages, parties and alliances between them.
