How China blew up its own future

East and Southeast Asians are some of the most xenophobic people in the world. Good luck trying to convince them that immigration is the answer. If Japan is any indication, it's going to be rough.
Southeast Asia is extremely diverse in culture, religion, and ethnicity. To be blunt, much of the region is literally third world, with the exception of Singapore which has a culture that is distinctly different from the rest.

Horse buggy and whip makers and steam locomotive engineers are not around anymore, are they? Advances in technology, no matter how revolutionary, merely change the nature of jobs.
Basically the point I'm making.

Which then begs the question of "where does that leave humanity?"

Basically the point I'm making.

Yes, considering the others here, it bears repeating. The changes in demographics are very predictable. The potential of AI, despite all the recent hype, remains to be seen. Long term planning cannot be based only upon such hopes that changes that are known to be coming can somehow be managed, like the famous ostrich strategy in cartoons.

Please show the data upon which you base these statements, thanks.

LOL. Despite being entirely predictable, it is still entertaining to see that commiebot programming simply cannot handle the prospect of being beaten by what they regard as a mongrel upstart while their own grolius ethnically homogenous xenophobic population faces a demographic collapse. :D

As I previously said above:

USA is more than just its white population, but then again, a member of a xenophobic closed society for thousands of years simply would not be able to comprehend what E Pluribus Unum means.

amuel P. Huntington,He wrote in his book, The Clash of Civilizations, that when he saw Americans in New Mexico not speaking English but Spanish. When they waved the Mexican flag instead of the American flag.He felt deeply worried.

So how does that change the demographics at all? The racially homogenous Chinese simply cannot fathom a nation made up of diverse peoples and views. That is so painfully clear here.

The modern nation-state is made up of a group of people with a unified history, culture, language and customs.
For an immigrant country like the United States, all kinds of different races, histories, languages, customs.
It means you have no way to form a basic social consensus. This has increasingly become a prominent factor in the presidential election after Obama.

LOL. And yet it remains the sole superpower in the world. Despite all of that, or may be because of it. Whatever it might be, it works. And very well at that to the point that no one even comes close. :D

Indeed, the United States is still number one in many aspects such as military, economy, and technology.
But that doesn't mean it won't dieRelative to 2000, the United States' absolute hegemonic power and its leading national strength relative to the world,
Now the economic influence of the United States has declined significantly after the subprime mortgage crisis in 2009.in terms of geopolitics. In the Middle East, there is no way to completely defeat Iran.In Europe, you have no way to solve the Russia-Ukraine conflict. In East Asia, you face fierce competition from China.
From the Biden era, Americans have invested all their money into AI.Americans are hoping that AI will save America's declining production capacity. As for the future, no one knows.

Yes, but the point here is that USA demographic trends are far better than any of its competitors, especially China. Those are very clear, and unavoidable, given the population pyramids and their predictable evolution over the next several decades as the population ages.

It's incredibly shortsighted to imply that America's superpower status is derived from its multi-ethnic, non-homogenous demographic.

Are you going to ignore the fact that prior to the America superpower era, every preceding global superpower was a homogenous state?

How about the fact that America's lead is rapidly declining to the point it really doesn't exist but that's a different debate. Americans (dumb ones) will beg to differ but again, different conversation.

How about the fact that America's superpower status only came after European powers destroyed themselves in WW2. America's superpower status only came from its relative isolation geographically from the Eurasian plate, allowing it to escape pretty much all the damages from WW1 and WW2.

Homogenous or not, it's not the determining factor... maybe 100th down the list of importance if such a list were to be constructed.
