Just a question, I've been trying to research/read about previous empires in Khorasan and the historical relations between lets call it "Eastern Persianate"(Tajiks and Dari speakers) and "Western Persianate" peoples, and was wondering how relations have been historically and perceptions of previous empires and dynasties that ruled the land in what is present day Iran and other farsi speaking populaces.

Do people learn about them in schools in Iran and how do they feel about them?

They have a statue of Yaqub Saffari but not Ismail Samani in Iran

But there is a mounament to Ismail Samani in Tajikistan

Well yeah obviously. lol you expect it to be there. I was more interested in knowing about how Iran feels about him.

They are well respected. Generally the eastern dynasties were known for persianizing eastern iranian peoples. The Persian language experienced a golden age under the samanids.

The founder of The Samanids ; saman khuda was Zoroastrian who converted to Islam.
