Impact of BJP victory in West Bengal on Bangladesh

You are the one who went off topic with your ridiculous claim. Better you heed your own advice.

The purpose of this thread which I started is to focus on Bangladesh's reaction to the victory of an overtly anti-Muslim Hindu fascist party in a state directly neighbouring Bangladesh. This has already acquired a military character. The BJP administration has tried to deport thousands of Indian Muslims at border points which the Bangladesh border guards refusing to admit Indian Muslims on our soil thus legitimising Hindutva ethnic cleansing. The Bangladeshi governmen has authorised our Bangladeshi border guards to use whatever force is required to repel these illegal actions by the Indian authorities. We have had shooting wars with India in the past and if these escalate then it escalates to full-scale war. We will be ready if war is imposed on us.

Take back???????,, Buddy they are indians

Pakistan is for Pakistani citizens ONLY

Why the fcukkity fcuk would we take any indians into our Pak zameen

Partition India PROPERLY, give Kashmir independence or over to Pakistan

Let Indian Muslims, Sikhs and others have their own states and areas where they can govern and represent themselves

Then you can make the left over Hindu India into a big a hindutva shit hole as you want and no one will care

The whole problem is that you morons had this retarded idea of trying to keep India whole and everyone stuck in the same place

Jinnah understood it was bullshit and it's why Partition is literally the only path

We can take them back. But we need their lands as well.

We will take all Indian Muslims if we can have Kashmir etc back as well.

I express my deep concern and strongly condemn the recent demolition of more than 1,100 Bengali Muslim homes in Assam, India, by the authorities. The demolition drive also reportedly destroyed more than 10 mosques, some of which had stood for over 50 years. While the authorities have justified these actions as an effort to reclaim government and forest land from alleged “encroachers”, Indian media reports indicate that many affected families have deep-rooted ties to the region, having lived on these lands since long before India’s independence.

Instead of ensuring adequate resettlement and rehabilitation, the authorities have left many families displaced and vulnerable, with some reportedly placed in detention centres. This latest operation is part of a disturbing pattern of discrimination and persecution of Bengali Muslims in India, fuelled by Hindutva-driven politics.

Approximately 19,000 families have reportedly been displaced over the past decade. For years, Bengali Muslims in India have faced crackdowns, forced push-ins and exclusion from voter lists. These actions suggest that the current government is pursuing a targeted agenda against Muslim minorities and actively enforcing measures that threaten their rights and security.

This evokes the unlawful demolition of the historic Babri Masjid in 1992, an event that remains an enduring symbol of religious intolerance and communal division.Under Hindutva fascism, India has categorically failed to protect its minority communities, including Muslims, Christians and Sikhs, as well as lower-caste Hindus.I call upon the international community to take immediate cognisance of the systematic persecution of Muslims by the Indian authorities. The Indian government must be held accountable for these serious human rights violations and infringements on religious freedom.

It must uphold the principles of justice and equality for every Indian citizen, regardless of caste, religion or cultural identity.Muslims of India are Indians too."

Settling in forest and expecting government to regularise your settlement is wild.

Progressive non-communal voices in India have expressed their deep abhorrence for the fascist nature of the Modi regime.

The coackroach movement is just the start of the campaign to remove the Modi regime. Modi has already announced that he will quit after this particular term. His likely successor is Amit Shah, but already people are zooming in on this Hindutva fascist too.

Bangladesh is a Muslim-majority country, and many of its citizens may aspire for the country to express a stronger Islamic identity and closer association with the wider Muslim world, including organizations such as the OIC. There is nothing inherently wrong with a nation seeking to reflect the cultural, religious, or historical values of its majority population, provided this occurs peacefully and within a lawful framework.

As someone who has spent considerable time studying the history of the Indian subcontinent, I sometimes question whether current approaches have been successful in resolving the communal tensions that have existed for generations. These tensions did not begin after independence; they were present long before partition and, in various forms, continue to influence politics and society across the region today.

One controversial but historically debated idea is whether greater demographic realignment, achieved voluntarily and peacefully over time, might reduce friction. In that context, some may argue that Bengali-speaking Hindus who feel a stronger cultural and political affinity with India should have every opportunity to settle there, while Bengali-speaking Muslims who prefer to live in a state with a stronger Islamic character should similarly be free to settle in Bangladesh. Such a process, if ever considered, would need to be entirely voluntary, humane, and respectful of individual rights and property.

However, I recognize that large-scale population movements can be traumatic, disruptive, and costly. For that reason, a more practical alternative may be to preserve freedom of movement and residence while encouraging all residents to respect the constitutional framework and laws of the country in which they choose to live. The emphasis would be on civic integration, mutual respect, and acceptance of the national legal order, rather than on identity-based political competition.

My concern is not directed against any religious or ethnic community. Rather, it stems from a desire to find long-term solutions that promote stability, reduce communal tensions, and allow all countries in the region to focus more of their energy on economic development, education, and social progress. People will naturally disagree about the best path forward, but these questions should be discussed openly, respectfully, and without assuming bad intentions on the part of those with differing views.

Please do not go by what you see on media. In a country the size of India , 50000 people assembling is nothing. In India only about 37% of people support BJP which is enough for it to be in power as rest gets distributed amongst 10 more parties. Only through election any new party can come in power and it is unlikely in next few elections . The fact is, traditional vote bank of Congress is reducing and BJP is increasing. For every 1 person / young voter you see protesting, there are 10 young voters who support BJP. Proof is that BJP supported Student body have won elections in University in Delhi, punjab and other regions.

Ok, if what you say is true then what about...

1. Indian citizens of non-Hindu (Dharmic) background including Muslims and Christians? The BJP clearly views them as an 'other'.

2. The BJP is often alleged to be, alongside its militant Hindutva hatred of Muslims, a Hindi-belt (Hindustani) nationalist party e.g. it sees Hindi as more "Indian" than Bengali a language spoken by tens of millions of Hindus in India and Bangladesh.

If the BJP wants to victimise Indian citizens of non-Hindu faith then don't be surprised if there is a backlash, including from non-communal progressive Indians.

Our extremists (Jamaatis) in Bangladesh are basically contained and have very little power and just engage in stupid rhetoric, whereas your extremists are the ruling party.

Govt isn't obligated to "resettle-rehabilitate" those who have occupied forest land. Assam has very strict forest laws, it even has shoot at sight order for Rhino poachers.

That wordsalad still doesn't address the issue of settling in protected forest.

Cockroach movement has no major support, it has an attention span of an Instagram reel where their entire movement is based on.
