It's impressive because of its scope. BUT personally, I don't think anything is more difficult than constructing a 6-lane undersea tunnel for kilometers and kilometers and keeping it from flooding after completed and opened to the public.

The Sichuan-Tibet High-speed Railway line is the most difficult infrastructure project in the whole human history. The section from Ya'an to Nyingchi under construction needs to cross 7 rivers, 8 mountain peaks, and more than 200 active fault zones. It can be said to be building a giant roller coaster in the lofty Himalaya mountains.
