Sichuan-Tibet railway, total length 1,932 kilometers, over 95% of the railway is elevated or tunnels, the longest tunnel is 43 kilometers.

Sichuan-Tibet railway will be in operation in 2026, after over a decade construction.

The railway starts in Chengdu city, whose altitude is 500 meter, climbs over 4,000 meters uphill to Lhasa, crossing14 Asia's major rivers, going through 21 tall mountains over 4,000 meters high. overcoming multiple geological challenges such as major earthquake fault lines, highly landslide and flash flood prone hazardous regions.
