The first is one at the embryonic stage, RIC, and I don't know whether that was ever a thing before BRIC, but we are clearly at a BRICS+ development

India does ofcourse belong in BRICS+, which really is just south south, East east cooperation minus the dollar

China has no interest in making its currency an alternative to the US Dollar. It wants a alternative mechanism to the SWIFT platform by which it can conduct trade with entities sanctioned by the West. USA has too many countries on its sanctioned list. Unlike Russia India and to some degree China are not interested in anti-Western economic framework. They want a non-Western framework. Being the largest economic power China wants to control the alternative to the SWIFT.
