  • Apple employs 1 million people in China through various contractors
  • The iPhones in India use some components made by Chinese companies in India
  • Apple wants India to manufacture 25% of all iPhones. that is close to $40 billion minus the component costs. That is more than Pakistan's export of all manufactured items
Not sure what @RescueRanger is thinking here

I'm thinking what I'm thinking. Respectfully I don't need your validation . 🤣

In today's China, there is enough business freedom for any foreign-owned enterprise.

In compliance with Chinese law, any foreign investor can freely enter the Chinese market and can also choose to leave at any time. It's their freedom. But it would be a huge mistake for foreign companies to threaten them to leave China.

Recently, Apple and Tencent have been in a head-to-head battle over the "Apple tax". Tencent chose to resolutely resist and won widespread support from the Chinese people. If Apple continues to fight over this issue, Apple's mobile phone may disappear completely in China.

So, what does this mean for China? What does it mean for Apple?

=========================================================

In Huaqiangbei, Shenzhen, China, you can easily buy all the parts of an Apple phone, even the latest model of an Apple phone. Then, you can assemble them in a very short time. After completing the software and debugging work, a new Apple phone was born.

There are bloggers in Western countries who have documented the whole process of making a complete iPhone using this method, and you can find this kind of video on Youtube.

That's what India is doing right now.

Apple to ditch Japanese display suppliers after iPhone SE switch to OLED

“Samsung Electronics of South Korea holds about half of the iPhone OLED display market, while LG Display has a share of about 30% and BOE around 20%. Neither JDI nor Sharp mass produces OLED displays for smartphones, and their supply of LCDs for iPhones is expected to end with the discontinuation of old SE models,” the report says.

To all the China trolls 80% of displays are from Samsung and LG Display

Wow, surprisingly, BOE has become the supplier of iPhone OLED. This is a huge breakthrough. Previously, the only supplier of iPhone OLED was South Korea

Daikin Industries Ltd., the world’s largest manufacturer of air conditioners, is looking to expand in India as it responds to consumer demand for what’s become a necessity as temperatures soar.

The Japanese company has signed a memorandum of understanding to acquire an additional 33 acres (13.4 hectares) to build a new plant near its current factory in southern India, chief executive officer of Daikin’s India operations Kanwal Jeet Jawa said from the company’s Osaka headquarters last week.
