Tbf we need to crack the Li NMC supply chain and production. We did a good job with the software and design side to increase range. Battery is still Chinese and BMS some European supplier for tata and Chinese for Mahindra

Agratas is already installing equipment at Sanand while Tata is putting $400M+ into battery R&D in Bengaluru. Tata AutoComp is already doing battery packs, BMS, motors, controllers, chargers and other EV electronics; Tata Elxsi works on cell testing, pack design, thermal management, BMS and vehicle integration. Same with M&M: Valeo has opened a Pune line making its 3-in-1 eAxle locally. A lot of what goes around them is already being engineered and made in India.
