India Has Lost Air Superiority to Pakistan, No Jets Left to Fight

There was no further escalation from Pakistan after 10 May. Pakistani airbases were targeted with BrahMos missiles on 10 May, and the ceasefire was agreed upon the same day.

Indian DGMO Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai stated in the Declassified: Operation Sindoor documentary that Pakistan’s DGMO pleaded for the BrahMos strikes to stop. I have not seen Pakistan’s DGMO publicly deny this statement
Yes. Refusal to deny is typically a tacit admission of truth.

I myself refuse to deny that a level 5 radioactive contamination event occurred throughout Punjab province following the Kirana Hills strike last year. I also refuse to deny that various mutant forms of Pakistani senior politicians emerged following said incident. I furthermore refuse to deny that we have completed phase 3 hybrid governance trials with these mutant politicians inserted into all major parties and are wholly satisfied with the results.

oops My brother you also got mutant, Very big green murmuring "puny god".

Bhai, a response to that guy was not even needed looking at his 'logic' but you certainly made a logical and funny rebuttal!

I am not sure if Trump intervened or not--maybe he gave the finishing touch because both Pakistan and India wanted to de-escalate. IIRC, one morning Dawn.com reported that Pakistan had called an urgent meeting of Pakistan's Strategic Command Division, which is for the nukes. The Indians had escalated too much by using their Brahmos missiles; Pakistan was at a disadvantage there but started to look for drastic options to stop India. That kind of situation can arise again.
That's part of the nuclear posturing and doctrine, which involves the USA absolutely

It was a signal to everyone

Didn't trump announce it first, then Pakistan then India? Sounds to me like it was like.....look what we did, balls in your messaging, for a few days, then trump pushed it to conclude

India by the end internally probably thought they did enough without escalating more before trump announced

They didn't signal any contradiction at any point, they could have contradicted trump, if Pakistan signalled first then surely India would announce it too

I think browsing Dawn.com archives from the early morning of May 7 through the evening of May 10 could help us understand the sequences of events. But much happens in the background. We recall, the Saudi FM was in Pakistan during those days, probably asking Pakistan to restrain itself. But certainly much more diplomatic activity was happening.

My own guess is that India needed something to compensate for the losses to the Indian Airforce during the early morning hours of May 7, 2025. India kept needling Pakistan by sending drones into Pakistan, looking for any weakness to exploit. Finally India crossed certain lines by launching its most potent missiles, which must have surprised the Pakistanis because Pakistan, until then, maybe was working on the assumption that India wouldn't resort to that. Pakistan had not used its potent missiles against India--maybe never during that conflict. But Pakistan started to activate its Nuclear command authority as a warning to India (and to the world!). The big powers intervened.

Doesn't matter if my guess is right or wrong: The perception holds that India was humiliated in that war and no small thanks to Donald Trump for that.

Pakistan assuming that India wouldn't retaliate with Brahmos and other stand off weapons was as stupid as Indians thinking PAF won't attack its jets (and the rules of engagement based on that assumption)

On the perception war: IMO, journalists visiting bombed out terrorists hide-outs, people in streets shouting AHA soon after the missile strikes, runways cratered and shown to the entire world paint a much more damning picture than wreckage of 2-3 jets littered across a vast landscape. The persisting images from Sindoor will not be of the jets wrekage but the destoryed cieling of Markaz e Tayeba or whatever the name was, of Nur Khan and Bholari's damaged hangar. That is just how most people view it. OBviously Pakistanis will view it very differently and they are entitled to it but I would give away 3-4 jets every time to see the kind of terrorist infrastructure destruction that was done during the operation... albeit has to be in response of an attack and not pre-emptive as we see from US and a few other countries

So not the images of a Rafale but a damaged shed was the big victory?

This is what Indians are now trying to convince themselves of? You need to tell it to the rest of the world quickly, they still think you got a pounding

a $1 million shed, and versus $1 Billion in jets? SUPA VIJAY SAAAAAR!

No, Brahmos was something going too far: It is a nuclear capable missile. Pakistan too has something similar but in much fewer numbers. Brahmos launch showed India's desperation--risking a potential nuclear war--because India had no fighter jets or even land / army options left against Pakistan. Even the Israel-helped drones didn't amount to much.

The global perception has entirely aligned with Pakistan's narrative about the 100 hour conflict. But if an educated Indian like you can be so deluded then I would only welcome such delusions. ;)

You used the term "educated" for him. How cute.

Sure, on delusions - I can say the same for "educated" Pakistanis; I am not going to deny Pakistani's their perceived victory - as for rest of the world - only time will tell what image endures.

From an Indian perspective, it can be said that Pakistan going after Indian jets is an extremely risky step, one which IAF didn't think PAF will take... (I think we can agree that you can fire the first bullet but don't control the escalation - whether its India or Pakistan)

On Brahmos and nuclear capability etc. - India has a clear no first use doctrine so nuclear attacks from India doesn't come into play

With discovery documentaries and I am sure bollywood movies to follow, India will ensure "its" version of Sindoor is engraved in minds of billions of people (citizens and foreign nationals) - Pakistan should do the same - if it has the means and resources to do so. It certainly has made a fool of 260M population, lets see if it can expand to foreign boundaries...

So yes, you admit, IAF underestimated the PAF.

No need for "Discovery documentaries" we have Trump telling the Global media, we have CNN, we have the French air chief being sheepish about Sindoor, we have the (pro Indian) Economist, every defence expert in the west. Did Pakistan pay them all off?

Who is promiting Indian narrative? Vishnu Som on NDTV or whatever.

Initially the world was in awe of Pakistani victory, but Indian media actually did itself a massive disservice with all the lies I would argue you had two defeats that day.

8 planes and Indian credibility

Would have loved to reply but you're not one of the "educated" Pakistanis on the forum... jog on... read-up, go back to school, fix yourself

Err… wasn’t it India who ‘fired the first bullet’ and then showed stupid surprise when its top jets including Ra-fail got smashed?
As for well funded documentary’s and Bollywood, so what you’re saying is that what was done to mother India doesn’t really matter as long as you can push and make stick a narrative that helps Indians cope with the humiliation & still pretend that they are Supapowa material?
Prey tell who exactly has bought the BS Indian narrative and associated shameless lies / claims other than Indians and odd paid for YouTubers?
Just for example Go watch what respected and neutral experts like Sami Hamdi say - specifically that MBS only signed the defence pact with Pakistan because he was so amazed by the hammering it gave to India and especially to the IAF.
Do you really think that people that matter and the world’s intelligence agencies are going to be fooled by your Bollywood movies? Make no mistake They are only for dumb coping Indians so that they keep voting Modi ji.
