India Has Lost Air Superiority to Pakistan, No Jets Left to Fight

Quite a tragedy and shameful event! Are the IAF pilots "untouchable Dalits" vis-a-vis White Men's favorite machines? What could've they learnt to begin with for they don't unlearn what they've already learnt?

I've to admit this Serdarji's cool and "jolly good fellow" demeanor at the face of such a gigantic insult. Anyway, any normal AC would've forgotten to publicly project even a minor smile if he had to ground his AF for 2 days in the midst of air battles. And, that too against a 7x smaller-in-physical-size arch enemy (both in this Dunya and the next Akhiret), whose perdition lies in their religious (irrespective of faith - the Bharati Muslims wish for Pak's destruction more than the Bharati Hindus) redemption!

America Bans Indian Pilots from Getting Close to F-35 Jets! 😱 | The Ark

A lot of western command jets got the battle honors of getting show down...... :p
Yes that was on the first day and it came as a surprise for IAF. Unexpected.
But it couldn't be maintained then onwards.

and thats what makes LMs and drones significant for the next time. J35 squadron in the air Or half a million drones/LMs to send inside India. what will make the difference next time.

You do write some nonsense

The Indians have a problem, a real problem. There is no guarantee of anything with the AMCA given India's track record to date to give India a stealth platform.

There is a part of me, that would love to see the J-35AE turn up in the PAF tomorrow, to see the Indian's really really squirm, but the other part is grateful that the Armed forces as a whole has a chance to take a breath and try and fix some fundamental problems that force fund another major expensive weapons procurement programme and use that to fix core issues and procurement problems like SHORADS etc for the IADS etc..

I do think if the Indians get onboard with the Su-75 Checkmake project, they could have an actual viable stealth platform to de-risk the AMCA and give India options.

The Su-75 will be an F16 class fighter with stealth characteristics approaching those of its peers, without some of the design limitations that the Su-57 has. The engine intake design looks alot better.

The Indians can ask Russia(worth with) to design the core platform, decouple the systems for the platform from those for war fighting(as PAF did with the JF17 programme) and fill it full of core Indian systems... This would require a level of common sense, strategic thought and intellect in the airforce planning that we have never seen India exhibit ever(thankfully!!!!!).
There are far too many questions surrounding the Su-75 fighter jet program at present. This is not to suggest that it is a sham, nor is it to cast doubt on whether it will ever become a reality; rather, the information currently released by Russia does not hold up to scrutiny when examined against the realities of an industrial system.

1. We must take note of a particular fact: within the realm of modern combat aircraft, Russia has not excelled at developing single-engine fighters. Russia's turbofan engines have consistently underperformed in the field of single-engine fighter jets. This is closely related to their industrial logic and practices.
In the early stages of the Chinese J-10 fighter program, the AL-31F engine was plagued by frequent malfunctions. Indeed, nearly all accidents involving the J-10 series could be traced back to issues with the AL-31F. The situation only began to improve after China took matters into its own hands and resolved many of these technical problems.

2. According to Russian disclosures, the cost of the Su-75 fighter jet will fall between $25 million and $30 million.
This is clearly not a plausible figure. For context, the JF-17 Block 3—the most affordable 4.5-generation fighter—already costs over $30 million.
For a single-engine, medium-weight fighter equipped with an AL-51 turbofan engine, the cost would exceed $30 million even if it were merely a non-stealthy 4.5-generation aircraft—let alone a "5th-generation" fighter, as Russia claims. And that is not even accounting for the numerous advanced features Russia says it possesses. All of these factors would drive the cost to an exceptionally high level.

As for the Indian Air Force—I have already expressed my view: the Su-57E is the IAF’s only choice! They have no other options.

Of course, it is possible that they might be willing to invest several billion dollars more into the Su-75 project. But ultimately, nothing will change.

Agreed. Manufacturing will be a big problem, Russia would struggle to do this herself so HAL would make the plane. Russia has only managed 20 odd SU-57s for itself and only 14 for Algeria so far (unsure if even all of these have been delivered).
Now to suddenly suggest they can transfer the line to India and make 100 seems very very optimistic, and of course we have not even gone into the issue of supply chain issues. If GE struggle with engines for Tejas, we can only assume the situation is worse in Russia. Finally lets not forget the US may well be inclined to slap additional sanctions on India in the future anyway and these deal would give them a great escuse.

I dont see IAF going for this

Defense against stealth is not stealth.
Only answer for stealh are systems that can detect stealth.
India should focus on better tech and satelites and not import any stealh fighter jet .

Any self respecting air force has 5th gen or is on the road to getting 5th gen.

You do have somewhat of a point though, India's only alternative will be to counter stealth asymmetrically

Money talks 👄. U guys are not getting 5th gen because of no credit line available as Michael mentioned earlier in j35 thread.

Yes, all the preparation and training for no reason

Yet what options with money are left for others

Bless you, India's main line of defence is "Pakistan needs to arrange financing"

Yeah mate, we had a few stupid comments (possibly by you under a different ID) claiming no money for J-10s, no money for Subs, no money for frigates, and guess what?

I think this really shows the level of panic and desperation, sitting down on a shit stained dhoti with your fingers crossed....
