India is incomplete without Pakistan: Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajapayee

They are indeed a very basic folk, who cannot even conceal their underlying civilisational aspirations. Perhaps they feel the real world plays out like some movie scene, where grandiose verbosity leads to an inevitable victory for he who is most vocal and "performative" to the baying crowd.

The existence of the game itself is understandable.

Why shouldn't any large, populous, industrious nation have regional aspirations, as has been the case throughout human history?

However, the fact that they cannot play this game with nuance, subterfuge and subtlety, and instead resort to Bollywood soundbites to stir the brainless hordes, remains their biggest weakness. Pakistan must continue to exploit this and other weaknesses that they refuse to redress themselves.
Sadly Pakistan barely exploits these things. It's not often that ur enemy makes a mistake. If only Pakistan could have leaders like how Germany had Bismark...
...but alas...there's lack of vision for the bigger picture and a mindset that cannot think outside the box.

Nope. Correct thread.

Bharatvarsa is a religious concept hence would require discussing religion.
The desire for a future version of "akhand bharat" and/or erroneous assertions that any such golden age of peaceable pan-subcontinental dharmic union existed historically are both delusional beliefs, and as such, are medical matters, not religious. I don't think a specific thread exists for psychiatric diagnostics, hence this would seem to be a suitable enough location to discuss the matter.

Indian national anthem and Asokas wheel are symbolism enough.

Indians would say the term Bharatvarsh, is geographical, historical and cultural. But it would be good to ask them again . I think some of our moderators are from India. However the term has not been used anywhere in the OP.

An Indians understanding of geography, history and culture is purely religious in nature. These people are the most religious people in the world. Every aspect of their lives is dictated by religion.

Ashoka was a peace loving vedic brahminist. He later became a peace loving Buddhist for reasons unknown. He achieved all of his magnanimity through entirely peaceable means - for example, he unified the disparate peoples of the pre-islamic subcontinent under the great and peace loving Mauryan Empire by way of dissemination of enchanting rhyming couplets and literary works. I will not have you smear a historical figure of such gravitas with your satirical posts.

The Indian national anthem is really awful though. No arguments on that one.

indian literature, poetry, movies, songs, all refer to an India before Partition.
The Indian National Anthem specifically mentions Sindh.

"Punjab Sindh Gujarat Maratha Dravid, Utkal, Vanga .."

  • Punjab here refers to a united punjab which would be modern day Pakistan Punjab, Indian Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal
  • Gujarat Maratha refers to the United Bombay Presidency,
  • Dravid refers to all of Southern India, ( Andhra-Hyderabad, Karnataka-Mysore, Tamil Nadu-Madras, Kerala-Travancore),
  • Utkal - refers to modern day Orissa,
  • Vanga - or Banga refers to the "United Bengal " which is Bangladesh, West Bengal and Bihar
  • Sindh of course is Sindh
For some reason Baluchistan and KPK ( then North West Frontier) have been left out.

I would indulge sincerely but I have two jazbati naujawans(Toxic, Pradotlc) bearing down on my neck currently.

Ashoka became peace-loving after the devastating Kalinga war he wreaked on Orissa. He is still a great historical personality, and his edicts are part of our common heritage.
