message of a previous indian jet fighter on onother forum :
"When I stated it, no one in the forum believed it. I very clearly stated that no Rafale was shot down. But 2 of them did have splinter hits. One was restored to flight Ops the very next day. Now the world is relaying what I had told. Lot of people believed the lies of PAF and the deep fake generated by Chinese. Please understand, in a war deception and narrative makes a lot of difference. The tactical mistake done by IAF on early morning of 7th May was to use Hammers instead of Scalp for hitting targets close to the border. This put Rafales in the harms way and they got attacked by nearly every fighter airborne at that time of PAF. They did a good job in evading the incoming missiles but lack of Metoer as an offensive weapon plus the mistake of using Hammer to strike targets, caused this. Max number of PL-15s were fired on Rafale formations. IAF then learnt the lessons and used Rafale for deep strike missions using scalp which delivered unprecendented accuracy. Kirana was hit by a Scalp.
I had at that time told you that scalp is a very costly weapon while Rampage used by Jags was far far cheaper and yet as effective. I also told you that IAF will go in for more Rafale. I was opposed by my friends from France.
Do you the the silverline of this tactical mistake of IAF? PAF fighters in order to shoot down Rafale came very close the borders of India which brought them within the range of our LRSAM and S-400. That is how we shot down 5 of their fighters using SAMs. So Rafale may have had gone into harms way but was effective as a bait."

Not for me to comment on the timing of this, but IAF chooses to give all its Rafales different serial number types....
RB series is for twin seater
BS series is for single seater
Any idea which others were destroyed except BS001?Here are the full serial numbers and CN numbers for both India's Rafale Sqds. Shows BS001 as a write off, we can however, now we figure out which ones are missing in the future

India has no way to hide 001 so they showed it as "written off". I wonder how they will mange other 3 which were lost?
Bharati folks are damn good at "packaging"! They can always bring out something out of nothing, and nothing out of something....Few serials have been posted on the forum, obviously now IAF engaged in changing and swapping serial numbers around
According to economist article bathinda crash site has two pilots ejecting, so its possible one crash site has two wrecks or may be a RB series airframe got lost tooAny idea which others were destroyed except BS001?

one squadron is BS, named after Birender Singh Dhanoa, and the other squadron RB is named after Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria. Both had some part in acquiring/inducting the Rafles in IAF.RB series is for twin seater
BS series is for single seater
There were PL-15 missiles found in the indian soil. It is clrystal clear.View attachment 142572
you ability to cook up lies is truly staggering and enviable!
1. Max missile (PL 15) fired, yet no intact or 'max' number of missiles were later found (remember earlier, they managed to find AMRAAM!)
2. only sufficient number of 'damaged' aircrafts to 'make believe'. To the contrary, when, 'max missiles were fired' (two dont add up!)
General Rule: Telling a lie to hide a lie, is also a lie!
